Dont really know as i have never had any trouble getting mine to drop off.
Did you have the bike jacked up or not? I usually have mine in the air when i pull the nut off to drop the arm.

Yeah, the bike is up on jack stands and the A-Arm will not budge. I dont want to beat the crap out of the A-arm to get it off b/c the last thing I need is to bend the A-arm. I'm going to try penitrating spray tonight or just take the damn A-arm off the frame...:frusty:

How did you grind the strut with your lift? Did you take the A-arm off the frame or grind in place?

Digger, here ya go. Look through this thread, I posted a pic for Turk to show him where to hit the A-arm to get it to drop. WD-40 or any other kind of lube won't help it, it is not rusted on or froze on, it is a tapered fit, the ball joint is tapered to fit in the tapered hole in the control arm so it is very tight, don't be scared to knock the shit out of the A-arm, it ain't gonna hurt it. When hit in the right spot, it will drop right down, sometimes ya gotta beat the shit out of it 10-15 times then other times it will drop in 2-3 hits. Don't be scared to hit the A-arm though, I use a 3lb sledge and knock the crap out of mine to get them to drop.

i took the shock out of the strut, and was able to get the exle out of the strut so then the strut was free of stuff and was easy to grind.
Yeah when I put my lift on one a-arm dropped without any effort and the other one was a pain in the rump. The ballpeen hammer got the stuborn a-arm to drop in just 3 hits.Anyhow I hope my thread is of some help to your installation. If you need to ask me any questions about the lift intallation send me a PM or just post it here.

Try to borrow a pickle fork from a local automotive store that might have a "loan a tool" program where you can sign out tools to use for the day. I have always just used a pickle fork and it never takes more than a couple of wacks on the end of that fork and prestoe, its free!!!!

I've only seen it on Extreme 4x4! I have been looking for one for a while at the local stores. If I had the fork in my air hammer I would have had it all apart last night.:peace:

Thanks Guys!
Dirt~
I have to tell you that after the second hit to the "sweet" spot the A-arm was off like a Prom dress. Both sides came off on the second hit! Unreal!
Thanks!
I got the fronts done last night as well as a Temp kit, Rev Override, 3-light mod and Fan switch. Tonight, the Rear lift and done! I still haven't put the struts back in yet. I need to get some anti-seize lub that Dirt mentioned in the other thread. I will post all my pics when I am done.

Digger, glad to hear you got them off with no more problems. And RD is right, the rear is the easiest part, you'll knock the rear lift out in no time. And definitely use some anti-sieze on all the splines on the axles and inside the hub when going back together, it will make it SO much easier to take apart next time.

30 minutes for a first timer. i have put mine on and off about twice and i can do it in about 10 min a side. but i aint taken it off any more.
30 minutes for a first timer.
Took me a little longer than that to do mine the first time.If I did it now it take me about 30 min.Practice makes perfect.

Yeah you "experts" can do it pretty quick. I'm in no rush to get it completed. I just need it done before the week of Thanksgiving.
Thanks for all of the help Guys! I do appreciate it.

The liquid on the floor is coolant that spilled when I installed the Temp Kit from Quadovators. Also, just installed the 3-Light Mod, Rev Override and Fan Switch.
