I love the out doors, ride a 2004 Polaris 600 and have been lurcking on the forums for awhile.

If you realy want to know why I go by N.I.B. I'll just quote Wikapedia ""N.I.B." is a song released by British heavy metal band Black Sabbath. It first appeared as the part of the third track on the band's 1970 self-titled debut album, Black Sabbath. The lyrics are in the first person from the point of view of Lucifer. Some listeners have claimed that the song is about Lucifer seducing the listener; however, lyricist Geezer Butler clarifies that "the song was about the devil falling in love and totally changing becoming a good person."[1]

The title was widely rumoured to have stood for "Nativity in Black" (or to a much lesser extent, "Name In Blood"). In a 1992 interview, Geezer Butler states that the title simply refers to Bill Ward's goatee at the time, which the rest of the band thought was shaped like a pen nib; also referred to as nibby.[2]

I swear to God, when I saw new member name of N.I.B. I assumed it was related to the Sabbath song, and I was going to PM you to ask if thats what it was related to. Further more, I am a HUGE black sabbath fan (only in the Ozzy days) and I have ALWAYS wondered what it stood for, I never saw or heard any lyrics that had 3 words in order starting with N.I.B. so I never had a friggin clue what the heck it meant. Thanks, now I get it, thats awsome!!!
Oh, and welcome to our forum :)

Big fan myself. I had always hered the "Nativity In Black" story, but just recently read about Bill Wards goatee.

I grew up on the original Black Sabbath along with Deep Purple, The Who, Cream and many others of the late 60's.

For those that don't know the song.

Here's a link to the song done live in Paris. www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZiShfBmb-oA

And the lyrics:

Oh yeah!

Some people say my love cannot be true
Please believe me, my love, and Ill show you
I will give you those things you thought unreal
The sun, the moon, the stars all bear my seal

Oh yeah!

Follow me now and you will not regret
Leaving the life you led before we met
You are the first to have this love of mine
Forever with me till the end of time

Your love for me has just got to be real
Before you know the way Im going to feel
Im going to feel
Im going to feel

Oh yeah!

Now I have you with me, under my power
Our love grows stronger now with every hour
Look into my eyes, you will see who I am
My name is lucifer, please take my hand

LOL, you must be an old man then, I started listening to Ozzy around 1982'ish with Blizzard of Oz and thats all it took, I soon had almost all of their "cassette" tapes LOL, but I was only 11 years old in 1982, it took me a few years to get them all, my paper route didnt pay too much back then.

I actually had an 8 track, probably still got it tucked away in a box somewhere, it was a weird one for Sabbath, it was titled Technical Ecstasy, very different sound from the other Sabbath albums, but I liked it. Rock and roll doctor, back street kids, oh the memories!!!!

True story, I was going to try and send Ozzy and Sharon a wedding invite to our wedding, didnt figure he would even respond so we never bothered, but I wish I had done it anyways. Funny thing about it, 11 or 12 years into our marriage, we find out they have the same anniversary as us, to weird eh LOL.
