I made 3 sets of 12's, heres one of them. They are 6061-T6 grade aluminum. After some research, it seems that the 7075-T6 is a much harder grade, but near impossible to weld, and according to my welding guy, he aint got the really REALLY expensive machine to do it. So, I think we will likely stick with this grade and see how they hold up. I have not mounted these on my machine yet as I am waiting on a rear hub to complete my current work project on the machine, but I went ahead and but 3 to 4 pounds of air in these tires, no leaks, and they are pretty light.

29.5 x 10 x 12 mounted on this aluminum wheel is 43.8 lbs total. The wheels with all hardware included weigh 25 lbs for the full set of 4, so each wheel is coming in at 6.25 lbs with the valve stems, nuts, bolts, and washers. The aluminum ITP wheels I have sitting here are around 10-1/2 pounds each, so you are saving about 5 lbs a wheel with these ones over the standard average ATV rim.

We will not be selling these just yet, I have the other 2 sets to get on a machine for testing and then we will consider a production run of maybe 10 full sets depending on the market demand. We will probably put a set on some 28" backs for Melissa's RZR and maybe see about the other set...

Thanks Hammy, hey did you wanna sell just the EDL's? if not, I'll let him know, I got a friend looking for just the tires. I think I PM'd you or e-mailed you earlier, cant rememememeber LOL.

Thanks Scott, ya, I'd have em mounted but the machine is in peices all over the garage, just waiting on a part from Vern to put it all back together. I might put them on the RZR just for some pictures and see how she looks....

Okay, we have some aluminum 14's being made this week for testing, we currently have steel powder coated 14's to go with a nice new set of 30" silverbacks if you wanted those? The steel will be quite a bit less $$$.

cant install them if the machine is on a stand, no rear axles, no rear hubs, no front struts on the machine, its hangin there just beggin for new shoes, but I gotta wait for a package from Bigdog to put it all back together....

Might put them on the RZR tomorrow on my "laid off day off" and take a few pics ;)

6061 will probably work better for this application anyhow. 7075 will actually snap when it gets stressed compared to bending like 6061 will. the do look nice. how thick aluminum did you use for the center?

I may have some 14's in a week or so, I wanna try and pre-sell at least 1 set since they are so damned expensive to be made.

The 12's will probably retail as follows,

In Canada, $650 shipped
In the U.S. $550 shipped

The 14's will probably retail as follows,

In Canada, $700 shipped
In the U.S. $600 shipped

How much for aluminum 12" with out shipping, (pick up)?? Also i have a stupid question........................... Do they bolt through the bead of the tire, and if so could the tires ever be used on stock wheels afterwards???

Also i don't plan on buying until atleast late fall or next spring, i just want a price. Thanks

00

PS: Paul when do you want to do the lift on the KING?? Some time this summer hopefully. :)

Rubberdown

Sorry for the hold up on the King Quad, we should hopefully break ground on the garage soon, then I can handle having as many as 6 quads here at a time LOL.

The aluminum ones in Canada, 12" ones will be around $650, but your a local boy, we might be able to work something out ;)

They DO NOT bolt through the actual bead, the tire will not be damaged in any way from using these wheels.

Well, they look even better in person. I was surprised how light they were with the laws on em. If i get a set they will definatly be aluminum. But then i'll have to get another set of tires, and i'm havin a hard enough time convincing the wife i need a set of 30" zillas.
