View Full Version : Holy Crap. Shipping is expensive!

Well I just went to ship the PXT tires I had sold to a guy and DHL gave me a price of $30 online. WEll I went there today to drop them off and the guy told me it was $30 PER TIRE!!. 120. DAmn thats a lot and I thought DHL was the cheapest.
Sorry everyone I jsut needed to vent a little.

I shipped my four PXT's to Brent (Sportsman70003), from Georgia to Tennesse by UPS and only costs me $48.00 for all four.

yea i dont know why it was so high.
I just got a quote from Fedex and they said it would be about 50 so i guess that aint to bad.

I shipped some 26" mudlites at the post office for $44. The trick is to just tape one of the front and one of the rears together with some tape and slap an address on it. So you'll end up with 2 packages but its cheaper.

That's what Tirerack.com does, if the tape breaks then you only get the tire with the shipping info on it and the other tire mysteriously disappears (onto to the ups drivers car) while you wait for another to ship out. Been there done that, it's a bummer.

I looked at shipping my custom gas/cooler rack to Texas & the best i could get was $110.:jaw: Thats WAY too much on a $60 item:pout:

Tell me about it,everytime I turn around there's a fuel surcharge added to something I have to pay for.I tell you what,I'm going to start saving farts in a jar and give those out as my way of covering thier fuel surcharges.

Be sure to charge them extra for the "pipeline" fee and the "storage" fee,lol,lol.
