Hey RD,have you ever thought about making hub covers or shifter handles for the sp like they used to for the older polaris?
I've been looking on ebay for them but they are hard to find.

Shifter knobs would be easy enough, but they are soo common at automotive stores that I would need a pretty cool idea to make it marketable, or wanted, and it would have to be something easy to make, as in know serious 3-d machininig. I may spin off a couple prototypes and see what you guys think....

Oh, and welcome to the site, glad to have you on board ;)

I was thinking a revolver's cylynder similar to the ones jesse james uses on his handle bars.Just an Idea,I have a 96 sportsman 400 2 stroke and I have the aluminum hub covers and I have been trying to find the ones that fit my 2001 and my sons 1996 500 sportsmans.
Like I said just throwing out ideas(got to be the right price and what the masses want).
By the way thanks for a new site,I hope to learn from you guys up north.

I have contacted Bulldozer from the bama boggers regarding decals but he never got back to me after a couple e-mails. There is a guy in my area that does them from what I'm told, I'll see about calling him this week.

Let me look into it buddy...seriously.

We have a laser marking system at work, and when I was teained on it, they company used aluminum business cards, and they cam anodized in various colours, so if I can look into getting something like that, is that cooler than regular sticker decals?????

That would be way better, & would be the only ones like it out there. Now all we need is to have them personalized.

We can engrave with our laser as well but we don’t have the program parameters installed & the height sensor is on the blink.
Its not like we need it for cutting 1/8-1/2" plate steel. I think we can cut up to 1" thick but it’s a 5000K/W laser. Watch that hydro meeter spin.
The power cables for the sucker are about 4" in dia.

How are the billet gas caps coming along? Are you still going to make them?

Rubberdown
08-13-2007, 12:09 PM
Slowly LOL, I do appologize, the caps will still be a while yet, I need to get them designed and then I need a CNC programmer to come in off the clock and get my prototype run off.

Welcome to the forums dude.

I tried to design one for an 04 grizzly and all the feedback I got doing my research is that they are not made to handle even the smallest lift of about 1" due to axle breakage and limited downward movement in the a-arms. There is another company that sells a lift kit for the grizzly, but they specifically say that it is only for machines that run the gorilla axles. So being that this was my findings, I never completed my first grizzly kit.

Paul.

He is in the U.S. and I am in Canada so it likely wouldnt work, but I'm sure he knows he is free to sell them all he wants on my site, I'm not like that "other" forum and I will often refer people to him for a bracket.

how are the stickers and shirts coming along?

Funny storey about the shirts, the company I am/was buying them from had 2 guys partner up that were going to buy out the company as their own the week my shirts were supposed to be in. They found out that this company had a whole WHOLE lot of debt so they decided to let it go bankrupt and start their own brand new company. This put everything on hold for 2 weeks, and my guy that was handling my order wouldnt call me back. I found out from one of the "Partners" that I know what was going on and I finally got in touch with my shirt guy, they should be in this week.

Stickers..... I'm waiting on a reply from Dozer from Boggers Unlimited to get back to me as he is a good friend and thats what he does for a living, I also need to get in touch with Badmanners and get his friends contact info again as I lost it. He makes vinyl decals that are really nice once you figure out the easiest way to put them on. I would like to get both and try them out to see how they hold up before I start to give them away.

I am also going to be starting some work on some seriously kick ass aluminum gas caps for the polaris machines, once I get those proofed out I will put up some pics. I have a 3-d model of what I want made but it needs a little tweeking before I send it to my machinist.

I have a Prairie 700 that I can get to design a lift for that, and I'm waiting on a reply about a 750 BF for a lift as well.

Believe me, I want it all, I want to make almost everything down to my own tires some day, but it all takes time. Be patient and watch it all happen ;)
