My friend has a 2007 420 Rancher and he really wants some more lift. He already has a 2 inch lift but he wants to make a4 inch. Do you think he could Fab up another 2 inch bracket to put on top of the other one. Or he is also thinking about putting some type of washer setup to get some more lift. Anyone have any advice on what he could do?
If he did this how do you think this would affect the straight axle setup?
Thanks,
Any input is appreciated.

i dont know if it would work but if the 2" lift is bolted on the bottom of the shocks, just fab up another 2" lift to bolt to the top of the shock.

i am not to fimiliar with honda's but i would think a 4" lift would call for the needs of gorillas. but i am not sure what the angle of the axles would be with 4" of lift. the angle might not even be that much.

4" will need Gorillas. I've run about 4" of lift or a tad more on my Rincon with 29.5's and broke one of the stock axles. The angle will not be good. Trust me. I fabricated the lift with two different lift kits and had 17" of GC in the rear with 29.5" Swamplites.

I seen a guy take spacers like alot of guys use on the polaris springs. He had them on a rancher 420 (also had a 2" lift)like your talking about. That thing was jaked up pretty good. But i do think i remember him saying he had some driveline issues. Im not sure if it was front or rear.

We've rode with this guy a couple times and hes sligging the shit out of some 28X10 silverbacks, but he put spring spacers all the way around along with a 2" lift. He took the rear spacer off because it was stripping the splines on his driveshaft. Hasnt has any damage on the front so far.

Rear shouldn't be an issue as it's a SRA bike...but I bet that he'll definitely have angle issues on the front with that much lift.

btw ILUVFATGRLS...
Stacking the Rubberdown lift and the HL kit will definitely cause you to have issues on the rear of your Rincon. My tolerances are really close with just the RD lift.

The problem with a tall lift on the rear of an SRA bike lies in the drive shaft angle which will strip the slines or break the joint.

Won't work. Period! There is not enuff droop in the front suspension to allow for 4". The most he will ever get out of the stock configuration is about 3 if he goes with HD springs.
I haver personally tried to stack 2 lifts ( a Perfex and a HL ) on both a 350 Rancher and a 420 Rancher. It won't work in the front.
As mentioned, the best he can do is something like a 2" lift and High Lifter or some other HD springs.
Hope this helps.
