Guys I got my first piece of a fuel injected brute this weekend and all I can say is wow. I raced him 3 different ways and the polaris got beat in all 3 ways. I even got on his thinking it was rider weight. Nope! I blew the doors off the polaris riding his brute. I have ate my share of brutes but I feel it is over with now as far as racing them. This brute is completely stock. He just got it from the dealership the day before we rode. Just thought I would share what happened to me. :puke: brute

i like pulling them out :)
tire's make a differance. my 27" swamp lite's will barily come off the ground on take off. i can put the 25" stockers that came on the 450 on the 800 and stand it up in high or low, and it accellerates a lot quicker. so i guess it is what you are set up for.

Yea they definitely have some power, but put them in some mud and water and you better have the money for a motor rebuild and send it to flynt. It seems like everyone I have talked to has had to rebuild the Kawi motor.

No doubt the brutes are one quick machine. In a race I have heard it going both ways but have never seen a race in person. Alot comes into play when you race like tire size, tire pressure, weight, traction, clutch setup and so on. How bad did he beat you?

As much as I love my 800, the brute being quicker isn't really a surprise. Both machines are making horsepower in the mid 50s but a Sportsman weighs 800 pounds the brute is closer to 600 pounds it makes sense the brute is quicker but like the guys say, get him in the mud and water and show'em what a Popo is all about.

our setup is the same. I have a winch. That is the only difference. BOth machines are stock. We have a government lake that they drain every year that has been known to swallow atv's whole. So we will walk the walk and talk the talk in december.

These numbers are measured at the crank, not the rear wheels. If you would put your machine on a dyno, you would get a lower number due to losses from the tranny setup.
