K&N do i need to re set the comp?

i just got my K&N the other day from matt and i have heard you need to re set the computer by unhooking the battery...this true or will it re adjust itself without? thanks

If you just have a filter you will be fine. Unplugging the battery will not do much. I am guessing you have the FI model??? If so then the air system has a little bit of self adjusting built in. Keep in mind that it is a very minimal self adjust for different elevations. It will not adjust enough if you have more than a filter on it. What I mean is if you have a pipe, filter, or snorkel combined together then the air to fuel ratio is not going to be correct and will eventually cause motor damage. You will need to order an FI programmer from HMF, FMF, or any other brand for your Rincon. After plugging that up you will have to play with the settings to find the right setup for you ATV.

If you have a carb model you will need to rejet.

i do have a snorkel and air filter. so i should be looking for a FI programmer?

Depends, are you running a 1.5 inch or 2 inch Stealth Snorkel. If only a 1.5 inch you should be fine. If you are running a 2 inch then I would sugest one. Your plug should let you know for sure. White is running lein, Black is Rich, Light Brown is perfect.

its only 1.5 ID and i just checked the plug its a light brown. Thanks for the help
