View Full Version : 800 header on a 700?
My buddy told me to get the 800 header to go on my 700. He did this and said it made a significant difference in power. Anyone else done this with their 700 and was it worth it?? Thanks for any input.

I had the 800 header on before I put my turbo on and it did make a difference. It wasn't a huge difference but did help some.

Same with the 800 intake snorkle on top of your airbox. The 700 intake is smaller than my 500 intake.

Yeah that is good to know. I guess I need to get me an 800 intake snorkel because I don't plan on snorkeling mine.

the 800 header pipe is longer than the stock 700, you will also need to get the dual mufflers
or was it the 800 header is shorter than the 700? been awhile since i messed with one, either way, you need the dual mufflers off an 800

The 800 header is actually a little shorter. Theres no need for the dual mufflers, the 800 header will bolt right up to the stock or aftermarket single muffler on the 700's.

Parttime, we need to ride sometime so i can see what your LRD sounds like. I'm looking for a pipe with the best sound. Not neccessarily interested in loudness but it doesn't bother me, i'd rather have a good sound to it.

no problem, that would be great.Rincon4x4 has said the same thing to ya in another post about riding together sometime,we are planning on going to Busco sometime soon hopfully by next weekend cause we are going out of town on the 22nd until the new year to the inlaws in Illinois.i am ready to try out the new outlaws on my 700 and hopefully we wil have my sons P.O.S. Arctic Choke 400i auto 06 with 130 miles on it and its on second rebuild, only this time it got the crank, cylinder, head, rockers, cam, valves, piston and they are rebuild it again,it has been in the shop since July this time so hopfully we will have it there too.we will be getting rid of that POS and getting him a 500 sportsman after it comes back home.Rincon 4x4 aka Mole was supposed to order his tires and wheels today, i think he is getting the new Zilla's, but who knows what he will get, he is worst than a woman when it comes to making a decission. LOL, JK.the LRD is kinda loud,i am going to put in the quit core and see how it sounds then.it will only take about 2 mins if i can ever get motivated.
