Great day and great weather....awesome run.

thank you for supporting me by coming on the run to bring a fellow Lymphomaniac a smile to his face.....

also Eric(Fellow Lymphomaniac).....and Sonja(Support Staff)....went to hospital today....

Again to the folks...thanks for coming out and bring a smile to his face...

here is the email I just received and also the pictures and video from today

from Eric

"Hello Everyone:

Cory is much better today, at least more comfortable. Dr. Viera (spelling, WOW!) was in to see him while I was there. His blood results showed a slight increase in total white cell count - 29. He was coughing blood and had blood spots on his feet, that's because his platelets were at 18. Neutrophils were still .2. He is being Neupogened and given platelets. The idea is still to get rid of the infections so chemo can begin again. However, new chemo can destroy what good marrow is still left. So it is quite the balancing act the Doctors have in front of them.

I gave him your email responses, even the one from Pat that suggested I get a new book of jokes!! Dan brought me a calendar of ATV's with naughty girls posing on them and asked me to give it to him. He looked at the first picture and it was difficult for me to get his attention. When I finally got it he said, "It's not working, must be the drugs!".

A member of his band has also visited with him. With respect to his daughter, we agreed it was his call.

It could be that he's feeling better because of your prayers. Keep them coming.

He is most thankful for the support he is being given from the Lymphomaniacs and Leukidiots!"

From Sonja

"Hi all,
Thank you Eric for your updates and your visits to Corry.....I just missed you at the hospital today. Yes, Corry did seem to be improving, both in physical and emotional strength and attitude! I want to add to Eric's comment that Corry is very appreciative of every one's thoughts and prayers. He feels hope and encouragement through messages from Eric(also a little discomfort when Eric makes him laugh!) and the gifts of your concern. By the way, I think he was looking at the calendar when I poked my head into his room...think he was smiling too. He was indicated his approval of the Hospitalist, Dr. Viera........a very good and compassionate doctor and extremely attractive.
Let's all keep Corry in our thoughts, send him positive energy and hope that he can maybe return to our group before Christmas.
Have a lovely Sunday evening,
Sonja

I will be making an album of today's run.....again thank you
