38mm TMX Flatside Carb

Is anyone running this carb. on their bike?
I found a good price on one, and I am thinking about getting it.
I was told It can be bored to 42mm.
If you are runnning this carb. How did everything mount up on your bike?
I was told I need to extend the rubber boot that runs from the carb. to the airbox, and that i would need to buy a new cable. Anything else?

Has anyone even heard of anything about these carbs?
Do they hold up in the mud and water?

I've not got alot of experience retrofitting the tmx onto other engines, but you mentioned boring them, you can get mikuni hsr's starting at 42mm and just to think about- the Keihin FCR is a really good carb with many versions and sizes.
