me personally, will tell you don't waste your money. some others on the other hand swear by them. i had the 3 blade model, never could get all 3 blades to open no matter what i shot them through. the 2 blade would solve that problem though. also they won't stay closed!! you always have to check them to see if you've bumped one and the blades fell open, wether its in the quiver on just sitting on your stand. if it was a choice for me between the muzzy's or the rage, i would stick with muzzy. i know this isn't what you were asking for but i'm going to plug the grim reapers anyway. just got them this year, and already i'm hooked. they have a good chisel pint, which i like for when you hit some bone, and the blades are sharper right out the package than i could ever make them. and work flawlessly, no orings rubberbands or any of the foolishness. if you have any other questions please feel free to ask me. later. good luck on the hunt!!

If you want a mechanical broadhead go with the Spitfire or Spitfire XP's you cant beat them. There are no o-rings, no practice shooting as they shot just like your field tip in the same grain broadhead. They open everytime and the one I have killed deer with are still in my quiver because they are tought. And in the event that you do mess a blade up, they sell replacements. I just bought the XP's and have been waiting on a buck to let her rip. I cant see myself switching anytime soon.

Jason, between the two, stick to the muzzy's.
But another good head is a G5 Montec, all solid steel, 1 piece, fly like darts!
Another good replaceable blade head will be some slick tricks or montec (can't remember the name of these)..

I'm not a real big fan of expandables, had bad openings with them before...although I an gonna try the Tekan II's.

My go to head is the montec G5 though, shot Muzzys for years till I changed, now I won't go back!!

I had good luck with rage. I think you need to have the correct quiver for mechanicals. They all open when bumped that is the point. This is the buck i shot last year. The broadhead went through ribs and all and the entry hole was as big as the exit. Can't say that for many other mechanicals. I think the trick is to get a good broadside shot to eliminate the problem of the broadhead not opening fully. The 2 blade would not have this problem and is what i plan on getting when i shoot up my 3 blades.
