hey camo, where did you get your heel clicker from? im thinking about running some 27 or maybe 28 inch tires similar to your setup.

thanks,
chad

I got mine right form the Heelclicker god himself Cob. I bought it like 2 years ago and I'm not sure if they have one yet for the 550.

By the way I noticed your a pony guy. Heres my stock 2004 GT I picked up last spring with 38,000 miles.

There are alot of gear heads around here that would love to see the progress on yours.

ah ok, i guess i will just get the tires and see how much low end i lose and wait til they come out with a kit.

nice stang mine, mine isnt that nice, but its getting there. when i bought it, it had that porno red leather interior, i have since switched out all the interior parts for black ones, new tokico struts with eibach pro kit springs. i have a saleen light bar, i dyno matted the entire floor and door panels, put a new sound system in it, pioneer door speakers with a 400 watt amp, then a rockford 12 with its own rockford 400 watt amp. i will the anthracite 17s fr500s on it. it has 17x9 with 275/40s up front and 17x10 with 315/35s out back, it has shorty headers and offroad h-pipe with flowmasters. but the motor is tired and warn out. so over winter im going to rebuild the rear end and prep the engine bay so i can hopefully drop a 408 stroker around next year at this time. haha sorry for the long rant on my car, im just a really big gear head.

Nice looking ride. Those are the rimes I'm leaning toward on mine except I'm thinking of going 18". You should check these folks out if you haven't already for lots of ideas for mustangs. http://www.chicagolandmustang.com/forums/

i debated for months between 17s and 18s, but the deciding factor for me was the tire price, there is a big step from 17 to 18. that said, i will prolly be buying a set of 18 saleens sometime because i have a saleen body kit that i have to put on yet

If you are not dead set on a heel clicker, let me know, I can get you the Quad Shop Customs or the Hot Seat performance clutch kit.

Camo, i havent done much research, but from ive read, heel clicker is pretty much the shit for the Popos. are they all basically the same? i know ive read about being able to adjust the weights on the clickers which makes them nice, but are the other brands just as good?

I know enough about the Heelclicker to make me dangerous. The adjustable weights are ideal if your riding styles change or you swap out tires for larger or smaller. I have also been known to adjust the weights for plowing purposes as well. Like I said though I have 0 experience with the new 550 and I have been told it's not as easy to get to the clutches as the old style like I have so just going with a set and forget style might be better.

well my riding style wont change, and i dont have enough money to constantly be changing tire sizes around haha. what would the advantages of moving the weights for plowing? cause i do plow with this 4 wheeler.

also how do you like your 27'' m/s 589s? ive been looking at tires and they seem to keep grabbing my attention

Additional weight will make for a firmer belt grab and changing the primary spring helps with lowering the engagment RPM'S lower or higher depending on what you want. Lower RPMs when plowing is better. I'm running the maroon EPI primary spring with my setup is perfect since it engages at 1300ish. As for my 589's I love them, they don't measure out at a true 27" but they are just big enough that I don't feel I have lost any power from how it was stock. I would have to say if you go with 27" MS589'S you won't need a clutch kit but it wouldn't hurt to add one at some point since they do make a difference even if your just running stock tires.

thanks for the warm welcome guys,

camo is there a clutch kit you would suggest then other than the heel clicker?

i cant decide if i want to run 27s or 28s. i really like the look of those 589s. i wish they made them in a 28. im thinking ill just go with the 27s and like you said add the clutch kit later if i feel i need it. thanks for your help
