popo ball joint puller

I broke a ball joint last weekend.I ripped the stud right thru the housing and the aluminum retaining plate not quite sure how I did it but I was doing about 40m/h and it caused quite a wipe out.thank god for lots of snow.so what are you guys using as the dealer will not sell me one they want me to bring it in to have them replaced.

On a side note I have now made some steel retaining plates so this will never happen again.

I bought a pair of them on ebay, but I'm not sure how you will get the busted one out unless maybe you can weld something to it to help you pull it out.

looks like your in for a few hours with a hammer and a chisel.

never had one fall all the way out.

What year and what side broke. I have a few extra bearing carriers laying around here. Most of them are new. It may be cheaper and definatly easier to replace the whole thing.

its for the left side of an 04 700 efi

still on the hunt for the puller.or even a pic of whet it looks like.
