Ok folks here is the scoop unfortunately there will be no Mud Bogs due to the different users of the property. The club will be looking for property to hold a smaller venue that will be a Mud Bog sometime in the fall. Sorry.
We will still be having Atv weight pulls. We are adding the Atv Obstacross this year which will be open to all competitors and will have classes for the less experienced. We are trying a new thing which we are calling Redneck Rally which will be a timed event. Two quads will start nose to nose. Each rider standing beside his quad key in hand helmet off. Horn sounds you put on your helmet and get on your quad and start it then you will have to back through a course until you reach a destination where you will hook on to a trailer. You will then have to load 4 bails of straw onto the trailer and then go through a obstacle course without losing your load(seconds will be added for lost load). You then proceed to a paintball range where you will have to shoot a target deer. Once you shoot the deer so many times you have to run and get the deer and strap him to your quad then go over obstacles till the finish. Best time wins.
On a side note we may try atv soccer just for entertainment.
What do you guys think sorry but we have to try something new as a Mud Bog is not allowed we will be looking for a new place to hold the venue but until then this is what we have to do.

Well Brad, I have a strong feeling that there will be no second event in the fall, it was a possibility last year too that never happened so I wont hold my breath on it. As for the pulls, no offence to the club for holding this event or the people entering it but watch how fast the stands clear out during this event, its not a really exciting thing to watch....I'm just sayin LOL.
The red neck thing sounds like it could be entertaining but exhausting and I'm sure with a large enough ball the soccer could be cool too but I foresee some collisions and pissed off owners with busted up front plastics.

What do you guys think
Well, honestly? I think it will be the last year for the expo. The first year had a good turn out for the 1st annual event, the 2nd year with the draw of the mud showed HUGE numbers with increasing interest.
I have a feeling that once everyone hears there will be no pit, the event will be a flop.

I just cant wait to see a deer strapped to a Renegade............. with all that rack space it should be a breeze! Oh and tow a trailer..............with the factory equipped hitch there should be no problem!!
Heck its no mudbog, but what the hell it'll still be fun! (Not the pulls, but the redneck thing). Im with RD on the soccer causing problems, but i wouldnt mind watching others attempt it.
Date/Time, entry Fees? Prizes?
Also i wouldnt mind running the obstacross, time to try something new.

Cmon guys keep this to construtive critism. There is alot to look at when you put on an event. This is not just about the guys in the Mud Bogs it is also convenince for Vendors to sell there products and to help raise money for an organization of fellow riders making LEGAL trails to ride on.
Striker maybe you should join the club and be president and have all the answers.
Hamey don't be so negative this event is not just for the Riders we have to try to please everyone. We hope to have everyone show up so it can be explained what the plans are for next year of moving the venue. There is alot to look at when running an event like this people just don't understand what is involved. Take a look at the Toronto Snowmobile show what if they just decide next year to move to the Lindsay fairgrounds what do you think that would do to that show.
Paul you know what it takes to try and put an event on so you can hopefully understand that it can be hard to put two events on. There was some serious trail work that had to be done this year by the same 10 or so guys of the club which THANKS to the vendors and the members of the club monies were raised to do the neccessary trail maintanence that was needed and still lots more to do.
Also Paul with the three events we are going to mix it up. One heat for each back and forth.
00Boss it's only a styrofoam deer so you could strap it to a Renegade. I have done weight pulls with mine and had sand bags hanging everywhere this is entertainment your not winning the gold metal. Quads come with a mount for a hitch which we can supply we are not retards we try and think of all avenues. The soccer thing that is a risk you take when you enter an event if you break an axle in a Mud Bog or rub plastic with the guy beside you are you going to be pissed off.
Heck I am a member of this club and I have done some of the trail work which I should be doing more and I have not even riden the trail from end to end.
Sorry to be so long winded but it's attudes like this that help clubs fold because members get discouraged by blowhards who don't step up to the plate and get off there ASSES and help.
Event in April if you would like to grace it with your presence!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I realize the deer would just be styrofoam. I know you can get hitches for Gades. The pulls just arnt my cup of tea. And yes if i broke an axel, or plastic in a mudbog i would be Pissed, not pissed at the other racer, just Pissed in general!!! I was actually serious when saying i wouldnt mind trying something new. My bike is no longer snorkeled, clutched etc for the mudbogs, and i WAS thinking about comming to this event. Possible i've taken your response incorrectly, but it seems like i have been placed into the non-construtive critism group???

Brad, dont take everything to heart so easily buddy, you know I will be there set up as a vendor, but I also look at the big picture, events that are exciting will get people to come back and watch, and when people come to watch, that raises money and makes more vendors want to shell out their time and money to try and a.) make a small profit for the day and b.) pay to be there which raises money for the club. BUT if people arent interested in the events (I'm pretty much only talking about the pulls) then they will leave, and the vendors wont sell as much, and the people that leave will be less likely to come back the next time expecting the same thing they saw the last time so you loose twice, people not retuning, vendors feeling they wont sell so they dont return.
Honestly, I think the red neck thing could be pretty fun to watch, and the soccer would likely be hilarious, the obstacross is okay too but loose the pulls.
Also, since we are on the topic, what do you see in the states with thousands of people showing up to watch, TONS of vendors showing up to sell, MUD BOG's, that is really where its at buddy, you know it and I know it. If the club can not do it on that park, then the club should start shopping around for another location that would be HAPPY to take some of their money to host an event....I'm just sayin, thats all ;)
Now dont be so damned sensitive big guy ;) ;) ;)

Sorry guys I'll pull out my tampon but I see the work that goes into this stuff and get a little pissed. You guys just have to understand we know the bogs are a big hit but we have to think of the vendors also and finding another place to accomadate like the Fair Grounds just is not there right now. We have to look at power for one to save running generators all day, out buildings for the vendors to take refuge in case of knock on wood rain, parking. The event is getting bigger and we have to accomodate alot of things.
It's ok I'll still drink your beer but man get off my back I'm getting old and cranking.

What do you guys think.
Holy crap dude. It sounds like fun to me but you asked for opinions.
I love to pull but I hate watching it. Next year I will show up with my truck, pull and go home. Nothing like watching a crapped out S-10 have to make 4 tries to get past the 50 foot mark. I would imagine the ATV pulls would be the same to watch.
Redneck thing sounds cool to watch but I wouldn't go to an event just for that.
ATV soccer would also be fun to watch but it would end up in a fist fight. You will have the guy on a 94 wolverine smashing into brand new bikes because he doesn't care about his own.
I'll be president.
Okay..not to upset the masses but I am gonna throw in my 2 cents.
Since I was there last April I think it was and spent from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm..I have a few things to say strictly from a spectators point of view. Brad you do a hell of a job on the mic while the pulls are going nut I wouldn't watch them again... took to long and just wasn't worth watching to be honest. I used to watch the monster trucks pull and thought cool...atv pull...not so cool. Now I do like the redneck idea..that would be fun as hell to watch. Alcohol and racing don't mix till the racing is over, then the alcohol. I love my pints like the next guy but have witnessed some serious hurt all over too much to drink. Soccer well I agree...fist fights will be a sure thing and remember folks.. they may call us rednecks but lets see them ride for 5-8 hours lifting 500 - 1000 pounds out of holes repeatedly. We are the strength and we are our own biggest support/sponsors.
Just think that you can't please 100% of the people 100% of the time. Your doinggreat Brad...kudo's bro.
My 2 cents

I would love to really drink Pauls beer but he serve's it with ice LOL. It'a a little hard to drink that way.
Yes guys we did learn that we should mix up the events believe me I was getting sick of announing and watching the pulls. This year we plan on doing one class of pulls then some OBX then some Redneck Rally then a class of pulls and so on. We want to try and keep people there for our vendors. I used to have pulls at our local fair and changed up to the Obstacross this year. Pulls are great for guys participating but is not good entertainment. Obx is great entertainment and for those who don't mind racing fun to participate in. Redneck Rally is just something we drummed up to get people active in the events it's not going to harm your machine and honestly I think it might quite entertaining.
I think I am also going to suggest doing a physicsl survey at the event to see exactly what the masses would like to see improved in the show. We do listen to your guys imputs but the audience is alot bigger than just on the chat sites.
Don't give up on the event it will progress I guarantee that but unfortunatly we can't have the bogs this year. Building an above ground bog was acomplished but was just not feasible we are just lucky that a few of the members had the resources to do this if we had to pay for that your entries would have been very expensive to help cover costs. Also the biggest hurdle we are not ALLOWED to do it there.

In the redneck game watch out for the ones with reverse override. If you are going to do an atv pull drop the sled and hook em together and see who pulls who down the track. A mud drag would be cool if they would let you (not a bog)slick up the pull track and go down and back ,who's the fastest. Then at the end have a beer drinking contest to see who can drink the most of RD's beer! LOL Just some thoughts I had. I wish we had something around here like this!!

STP took a nasty dump on his machine in the obstacross, he is probably pretty sore today since he is what, like 58 years old or something like that. I give him credit though, he did get back on the hourse and finished his race, good job old man.

How as the turn out? I heard from a couple buddies that went that attendance was WAY down from last year. Saw a video too, looks like the stands were empty.
Hopefully, they can bring back the mud for next year.

I don't feel pain you would have to have a Brain to feel pain LOL. Yes Hammy I kinda explode a couple bearings in my diff after I was rolling around like a beached whale LOL. One of the levers in my triling arm snapped which I believe let the swing arm drop too much while I was in the air thus axle slipping out and creating carnage LOL. I'll get them on you tube tonight so you can see the damage.
