I think you will have to have it sold to a US address and then from there get it transferred to you as a used machine.

Why would there be a problem buying a can-am in the US? Dealers dont want to sell to us?

I don't think its worth the trouble. Support your local dealer, because if it breaks who are you going to take it to? Back to the states?

A few years back, Can-Am told their border dealers that if they sold to Canadians then they would have their license pulled. Not sure if these dealers are selling to Canadians now (figured away around this) since the economy is so bad.
List prices:
Outlander Max XT-P $12,099.00 US
Outlander Max XT-P $14,499.00 Canadian
I am fairly sure that if I bought in the US, I could save at least a couple of thousand dollars. The best price so far for this machine that I have found is $13,175.00 freight included, pdi and taxes extra.

Nice try! LOL
Actually if I buy it, then I don't pay the state tax as it's leaving the state. At least that is how I understand it. Still stuck at the border paying pst and gst though.

My buddy bought an '08 Outlander in the US. The only thing he was told was that it wouldn't carry any factory warranty if you buy it in one country and move it to another.
I guess that is their way of penalizing you for saving a couple bucks....voiding the warranty.

Was this new?
And for a 2 or 3 thousand dollar discount you can buy a lot of warranty work.

It was a demo unit with 98miles on it. he said the same thing, the $3300 he saved buys a lot of repairs.

Still buy it here from the US that's not fair about the warrenty stuff I'd call a dealer and confirm that. I'm all about saving cast that's why I buy mine in Tenn so I don't have to fool with the tax. Do research b4 you buy here see if you had a US buddy/family member you could trust let them purchase it for you then have it shipped across to you

I have heard rumors that it did, but i know for sure it doesn't apply to GM. My dad bought his suburban in florida and has had a bunch of warranty work done. Already check with my dealer for the injector warranty on the Duramax, and no problems there either.

I shipped two stereos to Canada and had to pay $103.00 for some kind of tax
that will be the last time that happens. I don't know what they would charge for some big thing like a atv.
