Alight my question is
I am planning on getting spings for my bike.
If I get the Ranger Springs in the front and the Highlifter springs in the rear, it should not matter correct?
thanks

the ranger springs will not work in the front with rd's lift.
Are the Ranger springs stiffer than the HL springs?? I'm just curious.

I understand that the Highlifter and Ranger springs will not work with the RD lift.
But the EPI springs will. Does anyone know if the epi springs are as stiff as the ranger springs or at least the highlifter springs?
thanks

The reason the Ranger springs won't work with the HD front lift is the wire used for the spring is much thicker, so it won't sit in the groove. If the spring wire is thin enough to fit in there, it's not as stiff as the Ranger spring. Maybe RD would be willing to work something out to exchange the pieces, I don't know.
Read the RD quote below maybe it will help.I found this in another part of the forum regarding ranger springs working with a RD sportsman lift. RD says - [ If you really really want the Ranger springs,my 2" front Ranger spring spacers will accomadate the Ranger springs and fit perfectly on your sportsman.]
The Ranger front springs are bigger in diameter and will not fit into the cup on my Sportsman lift kit, the HL springs are the same, too big in diameter, but the EPI's have always been good to go with the sportsman lift. If you really really want the Ranger springs, my 2" front Ranger spring spacers will accomadate the Ranger springs and fit perfectly on your sportsman.
Hope this helps.

Will I be able to compress the front Ranger springs with just a floor jack like I do now with my stock springs?

ya. there is no need for a spring compressor you can just use a floor jack or something.
