Fellas,
Me and the little lady are looking at going down to Talladega for the April race. Want to make a few days or a week out of it. Is there anything you suggest going to see/do. Leaving from Toronto, Ontario crossing at Detroit. Not bringing the quad so no riding. Gotta be some cool stuff between Detroit and Alabama. We want to do the Nashville thing. We are 22 and 23 years old (did't know if that would make a difference or not to ya). Have never been down south so let the ideas rolllll

You should make a side trip to Milwaukee, it's barely out of your way at all. There's lots of cool stuff to do here like, ummm, wellll, ummm.
Actually, let me get back to you on that.

Talladega has a cool museum on site at the track, other than that, there isn't anything in Talladega, one convenience store and a dirt race track across the street from the speedway, so make sure you have EVERYTHING you need when you get there, it's a dry county too so no liquor stores without leaving the county. The April race is wild and crazy, a major meat market, keep a close hand on the wife, the guys get out of control down there.
Atlanta is pretty close also, only a few hours away, there is TONS to do in Atlanta for days on end, the new aquarium and the Coke museum are pretty neat.

Agreed. In Gatlinburg there is the Smokey Mountain Brewery Restaurant, I highly reccomend it. If you need an awesome place to stay in Gatlinburg PM me, I have a great cabin place you and your wife will love.

Everything in Chattanogga he mentioned is worth seeing, very nice attractions. Look Out Mountain, right next to Chatt. is also neat, there is an old civil war battle ground and you can see 5 or 7 states from Look Out Mountain, can't remember, but everything 850 mentioned are very nice attractions.

Yup! I would go there again for sure. Nashville was alright, but not much really to do other than drink......which was fine with me. Not cheap for sure, we were gone a week and between pigeon forge, nashville and memphis we spent just over $5000.
