Algonquin West Atv Club Poker Run April 24

The Algonquin West Atv Club is having its Spring Poker Run on April 24th. The run will be about 60 miles with lots of great trails from mud, to logging roads and bush trails. 1st prize poker hand is $500, 2nd prize is $250 and 3rd prize is $100. A bbq lunch will be provided on the trail and a fantastic Chili supper with all the fixings at the end of the day. The Poker run will start and finish at Edgewater Park Lodge, Kearney. A full day of good trails, fun, food and a chance to win $$big$$. Cost $45 if you register prior to April 1st and $55 after that. Kearney is about 2.5 hours north of Toronto just off Hwy #11. Kearney is located on the western boundry of Algonquin Park. The trails are out of this world!!!!!!!!!!!!!:canada:

can you ride two up on an add-on seat?

And chances are the police will be policing the road portions and crossings to bust you if you do ride 2-up or have a sXs, pure bullshit if you ask me. I also heard they were handing out helmet tickets if your bucket was on but not done up....

It is a great place to ride, I ride there at least once a year but the organized ride attracts the fuzz in a bad way so be sure you are fully legal and you will have a great time!

No two up count me out I ride with my wife all the time I am so used to rideing two up on My 2008 500 H.O efi I will still do it But not there I Guess sounds like it would be fun ?

Last year the club had a shuttle to shuttle extra riders from trail end to trail start when the route travelled on the road. It was the OPP save team that had showed up to the event. They told us they only wanted to give warnings and rise awarness to the ATV community. The local OPP (Burks Falls) detachment were great and very supportive of the clubs efforts and how well organized it was. The OPP save team on the other hand had an officer there that suffered a major case of little man syndrome. This SOB should have had his head jamed in his ass and thrown to the wolfs. There was no reasoning with him at all. Nothing worse than a badge on a guy that's got small man sydrome.:frusty:

Ya, I heard it was bad, I hope it works out better up there for this run, we would come but we run the RZR and that would guarantee me a ticket and an early end to my ride.
