WOW !!!!! 6 below !?!?!?!?!!! I can honestly say I have never experienced weather that cold before. I don't think I've ever seen it drop below zero here where I'm at, at least I don't rememebr it happening. The high here today is suppose to be in the mid 70's like 73 or 74. Unfortunaltly though, I am stuck inside all fricking day here at work.
Man.............. I HATE working saturdays, this SUCKS !!!

I am waiting for a few of the up north AYe brothers to see this, Then maybe I won't feel so cold.

LMAO @ Vern. Your snowballs would melt before you ever made it deep enough into Georgia to get me,lol.
Stephen, sorry dude, but this little short, fat, half sawed off little redneck would NEVER get use to -20 degree weather, my mind can't even comprehend weather that cold, much less my body take it or get used to it. But then again you'de probally die here in Georgia in August when it 110 degrees outside and the humidity is 100%.

LMAO...Dont know whats worse -20 or 110 with 100% humidity ....We get both those in southern Ontario (maybe not quite 110 but it sure feels like it)
It's currently 73 here.I'm in shorts a tee shirt & flip flops.

Atomic, does it really get that warm up there ???? I had no idea the temps got up that high in Canada. That's going from one extreme to another ain't it ??? It's bad enough we have to deal with 100+ degree days here in Georgia but if I had to deal with NEGATIVE temps, I'de have to move, lol.
It was supposed to get up to like 65 here today. Just warm enough for my uncle to put me in the yard getting his leaves up with his leaf sweeper. Didn't bother me much since I got paid.

Lee, Atomic aint kidding, we get up in the high 90's every summer, but with the humididty coming off the 2 Great Lakes in our area, it is always a "Feels Like" 110 or 120, very VERY hot and extremely sticky outside. I hate it like that, I usually dont go outside.
Hey, do you guys have to deal with black flies in the south? We dont get them in the city, but every summer when I go up north in the "bush" to ride, we get eaten alive.

We have all kinds of damn flies here in NC Rubberdown. Where I ride at here in Goldsboro in the hot months of the year there are frickin mesquitos the size of your thumbnail!!! They hang around in the low lying areas where it's real moist and wet and I guess they just breed like crazy. Horse flies and dog flies are bad too. They are almost as bad as a yellow jacket when they bite you.

-22 here tonight & almost 24" of SNOW!!!
The coldest i have see it was -53 about 15 years back. -30 is more normal for a cold winter day & +90 for a hot one in the summer. I don't get the humidity that Paul does but 80+% still makes life miserable!
& dont even talk about mosquitos & black flies. I live UP North where RD goes for his "bush rides" He only has to deal with them for a couple of days! I get chewed of for half the summer & here in MUSKOKA we cross breed our skeeders with humming birds. Just to give you all an idea how big they get;)

i remember a few years ago, me and a friend had a snowmobile ride planned for a friday we had off school. we were gonna go about 35 miles north for lunch, then take the long way home. sounded perfect to me. in the morning there was a slight wind, but nothing major, even though it was hardly blowing with the windchill it was well into the -60C range. add on to that the windchill at 80 MPH on our sleds, thats F ing cold. we still went for our ride and we both got real bad frost bite and i think some sort of nerve damage in my hands. lol, you know when you get so cold, as your hands warm up they hurt like hell? ya, that happened and it was terrible pain.

We have a chance for a couple inches of the white stuff here this weekend. I'll take that over the freezing rain and sleet we had all last weekend....that totally sucked.

The sledders will probably be out this weekend. I see they have the trails all marked. I used to be an avid sled head but got tired of humping that beast way up north to find decent snow. The last 6 years I've been laughing at the sledders but I guess this is the year for them.
