View Full Version : Anyone have that Nintendo Wii ???

Its supposed to be the big craze this season with people lining up outside stores at 3am and stuff like that to get one. A friend of mine got one and he was also given a "ticket" at the walmart he bought some accesories for it at for another one so he let me have it. I picked it up last night and everyone on the walmart staff that talked to me kept saying I was one of the "lucky ones" like I had won the lettery LOL.

I have never played it or eve seen it played before, hell the last video game system I had was a used nintendo.... the original one :D but I hear this is quite the sweat producing good time of a game. A guy at work came in one day like he got the crap beat out of him, he was playing the boxing all night and was a mess the next couple of days LOL.

ya i was watching that on the news last night how it was the craze. i dont own one but i have played it once and it is pretyy fun. i have never played the extra games you can by just the ones that come with it. it is pretty fun and it gets addicting so it i hard to stop.

i tried to bid on ebay for 8 hrs, kept getting out bid by "0's" just gave up.

My women's little sister has one and we end up playing it when there isn't anything else to do. They aren't detailed like a xbox or playstation would be so it makes it pretty simple to play and learn. The controler has like three buttons. But some of the games will definitly get you breathing heavy. The boxing game will wear you out. There is a baseball game and a shooting game kind of like the duck hunt for the old nintendo, those both are pretty fun. I'm not sure how much they are but they are pretty fun if you have to sit around the house.

I just ordered 2 of the guns off ebay for any of the shooting games, they have a call of duty 2 or something like that which looks pretty cool.

We picked one up for X-mass this year as well. Their were lots about 2 months back but now you cant find one around here either.
I never was in to video games but this thing looks like a blast.

The last video game system I played on was an atari. Never owned one after that.

those things are pretty easy to get down here as of now. I was going to buy my girl one but she insisted on the nintendo ds

I still own my atari 2600 that my parents bought me back in 1978.The cartridges and the console still work and have the paddles and the joysticks as well.It's been boxed up and stored well over the years so thats why it's in decent shape and still works.

River Raid or Pitfall anyone??

LOL, Turk, you should put it on ebay with a really really high reserve just to see what kind of price you could fetch for it. I bet theres some old school gamers that would love it just for a vintage collectable system.

I was the MAN! at Pitfall and River Raid. I broke quite a few Atari joysticks back then playing all those games! I agree that you could probably sell it on ebay for a good price.

the wii is very cool....It's one of those systems where they make it easy enough for "ANYONE" with no video-game experience to play and enjoy themselves....

I plan to get one...as soon as the price drops some more...
