Got for a ride last night, and my rinny didn't seems as powerfull as before, first i tought it was me, but after 45 minutes of easy trail riding the exhaust was red about 6 inches long. I know the rincon exhaust get red real fast but never seen it going red this fast. It's runnign fine idle, but at low RPM it starts to bug down, even cut down, and at high idle it's the same thing, the engive revs but no torque and it doesn't sound like before, sound like and engine that's not runnign right. So my tought is that it's the IACV cause about 2 weeks ago we went fo a ride in a snowstorm and there were about 1.5 inches of water in the airbox and when i was pushing the gaz to hard it sucked in some water, macking real strange noises and some backfired.
So, do you think it could be the IACV that's causing it to run too rich??

Well, called the dealer tonight, they said that it would probably be the spark that was damaged by the water. I'll change it tomorrow and we'll see. Hope it's just that.

Good start and fairly inexpensive. Well kinda those Rincon plugs are out of mind over priced

Yup, 23$ per spark, and not only are they expensive, but i coudn't find one in my town, must order it from the nearest dealer. No one have it in stock, Car Quest, NAPA, and even the local ATV shop.

BTW i've cleaned the IACV, well, didn't really cleaned it, i've checked it and it was allright, so i've put it back together. Will need to wait til tomorrow to see if the spark really is the problem.

So the honda spark plug comes with a sales brochure for a Polaris?

Yup, and the Polaris brochure came with a Winch brochure, a toolbox brochure, a heated garage with a pit broshure, a broshure for some mechanical basics, a truck for carrying the Popo tho the dealer broshure and finaly, a "How to make friends that can help you if you get stuck" broshure, well, i got everything i needed to ride a Polaris.
So i endend up with a 23$ spark plug and 200$ worth of broshure, that's monney well spend. Lol!

The spark plug is $23 from the dealer for 2 reasons, A its from Honda. and B its a NGK Iridium plug. Even if you buy it from a NGK dealer, or retail store your still looking at $15-20 for it.

I don't even know if their's a NGK dealer in the province, and the only place that is was aviable (Car Quest) it was still 23$.
Anyway, i'm back at full power, i changed the spark and as soon as i fired it up i could hear the difference, and in the trail it's the same story, much more power and torque, no more red hot exhaust. So i'm back on track, with a "running like new" bike.

Atleast you only need one plug. Some of my customers loose their minds when I tell them that just the cost of their spark plugs alone without labor is around $200 for their Tundra. Most say forget the iridium and just throw in some basic platinums LOL. Glad your bike is up and running again.
