Hey Red Bear. Glad you joined us. Do you have the TRD gear in your Rincon?? Any plans to get it?? If you don't have the Rubberdown lift yet you need to get one.

I heard the TRD Reduction isn't what it is all cracked up to be, I have also heard of whining noise after installing this gear and on that note...the gear doesn't match the other gear thus the whining sound happens. When you have this problem already...the gears start to wear and then something has to let go. And with this tranny, you could be into some big $$$.

I notice you have one, what do you think, and was it worth the money

I've got the HL 2 inch lift on mine, watch out for wearing on the inner CV. I cut a boot this summer and notice when I took it apart that the inner edge of the CV was worn do to the angle the shaft. It had also worn out the "C" clip. I had to replace it, the grove was damaged abit. I have to fix the grove in order to install the new clip. Yes this clip is only for installing the shaft into the diff and not allowing it to fall apart during installing , but with the 2 1/2 inch lift there is that much more of a angle.

Overall....take a look at it when you need to change a boot.

I think it really helped me turn bigger tires in the mud better. It was definately worth the money but its not like having a low range though. If you run 27 or 28's on your bike then its worth it. If you go over 28's then you need a low range. I had 29.5 Swamplites on my bike and the TRD didn't help turn them one bit!

Thanks for the input, I'm looking at get 28's ( Mudzillas or Swamp Lites ) this winter as the old 27's rubber has seen it's days. Up here where i ride, we don't see the real thick mud, more water mud.

njrincon, you can go with the 2 inch pipe. Your fuel injector will adjust the correct air flow needed. With the carb and the jetting I went with, I used 1 1/2 pipe. Plug is a little dark, but it's better then lean.

jonnkenworthy, your right...the rincon isn't the best in the thick mud with larger tires. There is a gear reduction kit you can add to help with this problem. I haven't really ran into this problem but I might add the kit down the road

i have an 06 rincon and the gear reduction with 28" out laws and im a big boy but i have no prob turning the tires. i also have the hmf programer ,hmf pipe,ICAT,k@n air and oil, 2 inches of lift and im running 93 octain with 113 vp mixed , so that might make a difference. all i know is that i can wing the crap out of them.
