Almost got them done, just have to clean up the stickers and make sure everything is nice and neat. Going with 2" from top to bottom was a PITA, but I think it will be worth it in the end.

Nice work! I love those things, just not enough money to keep buying new toys. Maybe a SxS next for me. Nothing anytime soont though. Got to save money for a wedding and a bigger place to live.

Hammy your gonna want to wrap both the front cvt snorkle about 6 in from the housing to the houseing boot. also the whole piece that goes across the back of the motor for the exhaust. Looks good though man. You should paint either the center or the two sides can-am yellow to give it a more custom look, just an Idea.

yeap that piece. Mine is actually done with an exhaust (steel) 90 at this part so it cant melt. The rest is all done with abs.

Sorry, this one I don't understand. My air box is sealed. The crank case breather goes into my air box. If water is getting in my air box, I'm gonna have bigger problems than the water from that 1/2" hose. It will get sucked into the 2" inlet to the throtle body before it gets into that breather hose.

Gotcha! Thanks. Thats what I thought you were talking about. I am gonna wrap all that, just ran out of time tonight.

Where does the water get in? I'd rather have it all done before I see you at St. Williams. LOL

I'm not trying to be a prick or anything, and I will move it if I have to, I just don't understand why I can't leave it in the airbox is all.

Oh BTW, thanks for all the help!!

no problem at all I have had a couple buddy have there enitire air box under water and drove out of it with the air box full of water. they are not 100% water proof. The water was not high enough to go into the throdle body but it did start flowing into the crank case vent.

So we pulled the air case vent out and moved it up to the lid.

If you take a stock bar end they fit perfectly in the hole that the grumit is in and then just drill a hole in the air box lid. pull out the hose that runs to the crank case and put a chuck of hydrolic line it and it works fine.

GET THAT CRANK CASE VENT OUT OF THE AIRBOX!!!

Worst place for it. Do you want your cranck case blowby (hot air and oil) going into your airbox? Run a hose up near the pod and put 2 big loops in it and leave the end pointing down. If water gets past the 2 loops then you'll have ather issues anyway.

Ok, ok already, no need to yell. LOL I'll just have to find some hose. What is it, like half inch??

That crank case breather....is that all it is is a vent or is it like a PCV valve?

I left mine in the airbox, but changed the stock piece and grommet out and ran 1/2 hose around and above the air filter and put one of those small filters on the end of it.
I will have to take a pic.
