Mud Nationals? Is there one in Canada now? Or are you travelling? I may be interested. Also interested in a QSC set up

nope, only one mud nats. adam is bringing all his inventory there to sell. i'm sure there will be a LOT of last minute purchases from people trying to get the edge in racing. or after they get waxed by a bike with them installed, they'll go right to his booth and buy a set!

That's kind of crazy to not have enough stuff in stock to deal with the public and a special event. I would think they could plan for that. Guess I don't have to worry about getting my weights any time soon either.

you ever started a business, let alone a manufacturer? you ever worked with vendors? its not exactly easy to get a business going and keep up with the demand as the demand rapidly increases. and yes, i am speaking from experience. i waited a few weeks for some weights from them, and it was well worth the wait :first:

I have in fact done the business thing and dealt with vendors. This Mud Nat event has been known about for a long time. Just woundering why they couldn't plan to have inventory for the event and not leave all the current customers out in the cold.

they aren't a big manufacturer. when you are dealing with machined parts, there only so much spindle time per day. manufacturing is the hardest business to start and also has the longest time before profits are made. but then there is also the "what if" aspect. they may be prioritizing their inventory for mud nats since they didn't want to over produce and undersell at mud nats. there are going to be thousands of people at mud nats, and they are WAY more likely to purchase right there on the spot than waiting till they get home and possibly forgetting about it or deciding it might not be a necessity. now if they just saw a bike with a QSC kit whoop the competition, they are going to be more hyped up about it and more likely to impulsively purchase. i think their strategy is rather wise. the people who aren't going to nats can wait another week or two. the people who are at nats would rather buy on the spot, since many people come to nats with the intention to purchase the newest/latest and greatest ATV products.

The guy said his was meant for 29.5s and larger. Has dalton green/yellow primary, dalton yellow/black secondary and 6 levers. Said his engagment is around 2400 rpm.. Does this all sound correct? I thought they only had two kits. One was the speed pro and one was the mud pro.? The guy has 31 laws.

The Dalton kit is green/yellow primary with 3 shackles. I didn't put any weights in mine.
I'm looking for a yellow black secondary and 3 more shackles that I can put in my bike. Anyone know of where to get 3 more shackles that are out of the Dalton? I can get the spring pretty easy.

$225 sounds good, since six weights by themselves would be $240 plus shipping. the weights can't really get messed up, so no worries about buying used weights.
there are two kits, but the mudpro weights have different mass options. 33-40 grams in one gram increments, iirc.

I don't blame tham at all for bringing down lots of product. I guess I need to know now who I can get weights from.

And the atv Manufacturer's change everything up. On the polaris the kit for an 09 850 XP will not work on a 2010. If you make too many you get stuck with them.

they changed it so much that they physically don't fit? that doesn't make a whole lot of sense, unless they did a complete redesign of the clutch to make it better. and even that doesn't make a whole lot of sense from a business standpoint if they already have something that works well enough. all the aluminum castings aren't exactly cheap.

Yea, there's alot of small companys doing just that bringing there stuff there. Even if they did have products ready for sale, they're at the Nats and the people ordering wouldn't get the products until they return.
I know of small AND big companies doing the same thing.
I'm hearing alot of good things of these kits. I've contacted him and talked a few times. And even back when these were still prototyped.
I already have the Dalton or mine would have the QSC weights in it already.
If I change anything it'll be the qsc kit.
