I need a little info from you folks that have installed the new 2nd gen. lift. I would really like to have this lift but I want to keep my spring spacer in the rear from the 1st gen lift. Because the shock is the limiting factor on the rear travel I would think this is possible. Is anybody running the new lift with the spacer still in? From what I read on the other posts it seemed to be recommended to take the spacer out, why? :noidea:

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

there is very little sag in the rear anyway. All spacers do in my opinion is make it ride rough. The reason i went with a bracket lift instead of spacers is to keep the smooth ride. If you run a lift and spacers you will be keeping your axles at a dangerous angle all the time. With just the bracket lift the only time your axles go at that dangerous angle is when your shocks are fully extended (tires pretty much have to leave the ground). If you run spacers in the rear with the bracket lift it will probally work but eventually id say you will blow a cv joint or possibly have the axle come out of the diff if you are not running axle spacers.

Others have had trouble running both the spring spacer and the bracket........their axles were popping out of the dif. It is not recommended to run both.

I personly tried it, does not work. My axle popped out everytime I went over a bump. It coused my rear end oil seal to brake from the axle coming out. The ride is even stiffer on the rear, the axle r too tight on the cv joints, it doesn't allow the axle to move in the in & out motion. I'm telling first hand DONT DO IT. The gem to is all u need I'm running 30" silverbacks with the shocks on the lowest setting and it just bearly rubbed the foot plastic.

DO NOT RUN BOTH, the axles can't take it one on the right of mine stays in but the left WILL NOT. I've talked to Gorilla myself and the reason given for this was that sometimes in the abuse the TT arms may flex a small bit outward, with the lift this outward motion is enough to pull out the axle. I have proposed the idea to leagthen the axle and he told me if I was to do that it should only be a 1/16 or 1/4 of an in max. but with the spring spacers on the tires were in the fenders so I didn't leave my spacers on. There are several other threads that I have had this conversation with others check them out.
P.S. I am gonna plan to get a set of the CATVOS Springs and try them they are only like 1 in of lift not 2. may be a month or two but still hurting after the gorilla axles.

I think my axle spacers are 3/16 of an inch. I do not have spring spacers installed but i have begged the sh*t out of this lift and no issues so far.

I would be intrested on a pair of these spacers once you get it all worked out. I wonder if my wife will like the nut you send?
