Installed it all easy, made the nuts to work for the new space needed to put the pins through. I also put my stock c-clip on my right rhino axle. Put it all back together but can't seem to get that little 16th out were the axle goes in the diff on both sides. I was told there should be no play or in out motion but can seem to get it out. It feels like it locked in. Can anyone who has stock rear axles still check and see if they have any movement where the the dust cover and diff meat.

OK then try to spred the c clip a little. Or maybe give it a ride around the yard and then giv it a wack. also don't forget to hit all around the axle not just one side. I know mine had slack and now it doesn't. Just rying to let you know the process of what I went through.

Took it for a hard ride to see how it went. Nothing popped out but i still have that 16th play in it

Guess your good then I'd just check it every now and then. I was paranoid for the first two or three rides

I think I'm going to spread the c clips a little more and hammer it in real good

SobI plan on going ridding this weekend, figured I would pull the axles out and work with new c-clips and it finally went in all the way. The damn c-clips where no good. The 2by4 is a good trick too.

thanks blazen

I just installed the gen 2 lift kit, the axle spacers and the new Gorilla axles in a friends 2010 Outlander 800 tonight. He actually owns the local Can Am dealership, he is riding this weekend and he aint easy on the equipment, I am hoping everything works out good for him, the axles didnt seem to want to stay in at first so I spread the clips out and it helped, and once we let it off the jack stand, the axles felt really solid in there.

How is it you used a 2x4 without damaging a boot? Please explain it to me, I'm not seeing it LOL.

It's about 2 ft long, covered one side with a towel. U put the end on the boot area on the edge of the rubber where the metal lip is right underneith. Give it a good tap as u spin it around. I was scared at first but it does no harm to the boot

You got it danny, I was so pissed with I did mine there was not even a towel used. Thats the way though, you got to make sure that you move the bike so that you get it all the way around as well.

OK, I went ride last night and wnet down a big hill that was covered in rocks. Bike worked great untill, you guessed it, the axle popped out. I guess the articulation was too much I was on the trail and popped it back in. It seemed ok but this morning when I went to unload it it was hanging out about a inch so I think it happend right as I pulled it on the trailer. Gonna give it a couple of wacks with the old 2x4 and spread the clip.

Yes it is a 2-up and no I do not have the axle spacers. I left a message with Paul to call me about some spacers I think they will help. So Paul if you read this call Ben from Kilgore Tx. the number is on your machine. OH and it looks like my bearings are gone out in the diff too. Does anybody no where to fill the diff fluid.

thanks man, I got the bearing on order and I picked up a liter of the AMS gear oil, I use that stuff in my truck and change my oil every 10,000 mile it works great. I NEED THE AXLE SPACERS BAD. So as soon as Paul calls me I'll grab them up, I think it will solve the problem.

We can get you a pair shipped out this sunday but we dont have the new nuts in yet to modify with the deeper machined slots, if you can some how modify your own axle nuts, these will work for you. OR, we found that going about a 1/2" lower on the kit also works, it worked great on my buddys 2-up, we have another one of these lower kits here ready to go, we could send you that instead?

PM me what way you wanna go and your mailing info again and we'll get you taken care of ASAP.

I really don't think lowering it is an option in my book I just want those spacers, what will I need to do to modify a axle nut. P.S. all I have to work with is a grinder and a jig saw with a metal blade, but I have done some crazy shat with that grinder and jigsaw.

All i did was use the stock nut and made sure it was real tight and then used a peice of small solid wire. It barily goes through. but it works!

I would put the axle spacer in, put the nut on tight and mark the slot you need to modify with a marker or something, then pull them off and hit them with a cut off disk with the grinder.

Shoot me a PM and we'll get these going for you.

I Put over 50 miles on the spacer this weekend and no problems, just blew out 4wd. After I put it in 4wd and then hit the gas is sounds like in pops right out b4 the tires turn. Any idea?
