I just finished snorkeling my bike today... I just need to run my vents and waterproof some things. I have a 2007 Rincon with a programmer. How can I waterproof my programmer? Also do I have to waterproof my computer under my pod? Which vent lines do I need to run?

Thanks,
Brayden

You can put your programmer into the airbox, and the computer (i think) is allready sealed. For the vent lines, there is 2 for the diff and i'm not sure if there's others.

I can help you out here. I had the same machine.

As for the Programmer you can do several things. Putting it in the Air Box is an option but if for some reason you did dunk it the box is going to fill and the programmer will not be protected. The best bet is to get a waterproof case like a Pelican or something similar. Cut a notch on the side of the case for the wires to run out. Then silicon up the case around the cut you made to the wires. Keep this in mind though. You need to take the Programmer out of the case between rides. You do not want moisture to build up in the case. I know people are going to wonder how moisture would get into the box. Well heat from the motor and water create steam and some how it penetrates plastic a little. Not enough to mess you up during a ride but enough you need to open the case up and wipe the programmer off and let the case air out between rides while it is at your house. I mounted mine on the top of the Air box. I would have liked to run it to the front left side compartment but the wires are not long enough and I did not want to mess with the extending them.

As for the vent lines. See the walk through I am getting ready to create below.

You will need two different size tubes. The smaller tube runs the front and rear differentail vents. The larger tub fits over the water pump weep hole fitting. The water pump vent is a "must have" mod on the Rincon if you are going to be in any decent amount of water. That is the first major part on the Rincon to fail due to water and it will fail after only a few rides if not vented.

Here is the water pump vent. It is on the right side of the bike.

The front differantial has one vent line on the top if I remember correctly. It will already have a black tube running off of it but it only goes as high as the frame rail. You need to take the black tube off and install a longer tube to run it to the pod or ever up the side of the snorkel. If you are not going more than pod deep put it in the pod. If you are going to dump the handle bars then run all lines up the side of the snorkel and curl them over at the top.

Front Diff Picture:

The rear differential has two vent weep lines. One on the top and one on the bottom. The top should have a black line already ran like the front did. One again this has to go and you will need a longer line. Also, since you are working in the back you will need to run the lines to the front. The easyest way to do that is to run them down the right side of the bike. I have pictures for that as well.

Rear Differential:

Run down the side of the bike:

Clean Up the look by attaching them to the stock harness:

Run them up to the pod if you want. That is how I did mine. See pictures below. You should end up with 2 rear vent lines, 1 front vent line, and a water pump vent line.

This is what I was talking about if you want to run them up the side of the snorkel:

This is what the final product looked liked when we did mine:

Took me awhile to get all that together haha. Wish you the best of luck and post up some pictures of the final product for us. We love pictures!

Do you happen to know the size off hand? I ran my snorkel on the left. Ill take pictures when I am done.

I used, .17" tubbing, and 3/16" tubbing. I can not remember the amount you need. You can measure the distance you want to go for each line and give yourself 6 inches or so of slack to play with. Then all all of them up for a total length. You can order the stuff online or go to a local fish tank store. Lowe's or HD may if it as well.
