Wow, with 85hp that commander should be a blast, and the new Outlander with rad-relocate is sweet. Gotta say that i'm impressed!

13000 USD for this bad boy!

Paid more than that for my Rincon, with the stock tire, no rad relocate, no 71hp, no eps and no gorilla sticker... Shitty canadian dollar!!

$15,400 MSRP in Canuck money.

Not bad IMO, I paid $12,900 for my single seat 800R XT + $1600 for my wheels and tires + $150 for my handle bars, $50 for Rene pegs, probably $150-200 worth of snorkel parts. Plus that has the rad relocated, mud guards, etc. It all add's up, that XMR is on a MAX chassis too. It's bargain as far as I'm concerned.

But! With that said, I'm waiting for the 2012 Can-am 1000 X-MR! WOOOOT

the XMR offers a lot for the money. priced $100 more than the mudpro 1000, i'd have to say can-am is trying to bitch slap AC! now if they would have just put the 1000 in it...

Nice machine no doubt, I'm just not into the factory mud bikes. I'd rather build it myself and have it be different and custom to exactly what I want rather than having the same thing any guy with a checkbook can come up with. Guess that's just the mechanic in me.

I know what ya mean. I'm the same way.....but i'm also pretty lazy! LOL. When i bought the 850, i wanted the painted red but i have seen tons of em and hardly see the plain red plastics so thats the way i went. Can't all be the same!

normally i'm the same way, but dang it comes setup so well. if the snorkels were a little higher, i'd say there really isn't anything except motor and clutch work to do to it. the fox adjustable shocks sure are nice. i still can't believe the price. i was expecting quite a bit more.

there are rumors of a mid year release with the 1000 in some of the ATV's. the question is going to be which ones. the limited would be the first, and probably the XMR next, which would be sweet. after that i would say the xxc rene and outies.

i thought it was hard to get race fuel up there? i still laugh at all the guys running race fuel down here who have no idea that it is actually hurting their performance by retarding the timing and not effectively burning. you gotta have some high compression or advanced timing to need race fuel.

All _Sorry most octanes U just walk into the store and buy it. No big deal. Anyways, Wake U gotta C this bike. Trust me, the man knows what time it is.

got wake?
06-14-2010, 03:27 PM
do you guys rate the fuel like europe? ie our 93 is equivalent to 98 octane in europe. i have the ability to advance my timing on my bike, but its a pain to reflash the ecu, so i just tune it for premium down here. when/if i shave the heads down on my motor i'll run it on race fuel and advance the timing further.

i have heard that the xmr's are regulated to 60 mph,can the can am dealer reflash the ecu to make it top out like all the other outlanders or would you just have to buy a performance box to atleast make it run 70mph?
i dont have an outlander i was just curious about this.

06-22-2011, 07:55 AM
yes, the top speed is limited on the X mr, but that makes sense on Can am's part due to liability issues and 30" tires. I can't see any reason that the dealer can't alter this in the ECU, but the primary clutch has been changed with a different helix and the gearing has been changed to allow more bottom end torque as opposed to topend.

I've only ever had it up to 95 kms or 59mph and that is pretty hairy floatin on the lugs like an ice rink....even with the extra weight. The longer wheelbase starts to play against you at high speeds and takes NO effort to swing out the rear.
