RD "got mud" fairlead

Well I git my new aluminum fairlead on that I got from Rubberdown and man this thing is sick! It looks alot sharper than the old roller style I had before plus it's got a cool logo on the front.


Here's what mine looked like before.

Looks like steel cable around your hook or am I mistaken?

Also, if it is rope, pull it all off, and got to Home Depot or Lowes or something like that and get yourself a little rubber door stopper something like this....

and drill a hole through the rubber and put it all the way on the rope so it hits the aluminum fairlead instead of the steel hook.

Nope not steel. I am planning on putting something on there but can't deside what I want. It Sunday and raining like hell so I'm gonna wait till I go to town and see what I can find.

I sell a product called a winch saver. Do a search on the them. It will keep the fairlead looking like new. $12.00

Ya what Bigdog sells is very similar to the door stopper I use, but the door stopper is only a few $$$ and requires you to sometimes drill a hole in the rubber. Both will work great to save the fairlead, just make sure you DO use something.

I've been thinking about getting one of those winch savers.I first heard about them on the quadsquad forum.Is the $12.00 with or without shipping??
