G8 Summit

Well its finally started full scale. The summit is in 2 days & Huntsville is literally getting swamped with OPP tonight. They are adding 1200 cops i'm told. Not including the army.

Full convoys of OPP vehicles were showing up all afternoon & evening.

So in a town of 18000 that works out to about 1 cop per 15 people. Now we are going to have several thousand extra bodies in the are so Ill be generous & say 1 for every 30. Still extreme.

I don't think the other 7 have anywhere close to 1200 though. Most of the others could hit the local Timmies and nobody would even know who they are.

I work at Yonge\Front... G20 build up. There are 2 security fences setup and hundreds of cops downtown T.O.

They could just do this bull crap via video conference and put the billion plus dollars into our roads in Ontario. Sometimes I would rather drive in a field than the highways around here.

I have not even bothered to go by the actual place they are having it. Miles of fence, anti aircraft missile platforms etc.

I can sure think of better things to spend that kind of money on.
