01 Sportsman 90 ?

I just bought my son a 90 and was going thru it. I need to know what type of gear oil does it take. I unscrew the fill cap and I think the oil should touch the nipple on the end but not sure. Can anyone tell me what type and if it should touch the end of the fill cap.

Look on the right side of the engine casing. There will be a round glass casing for the oil level. It has a marker on the side of the glass to fill it up. The marker will be about half way up the glass.

We used Polaris AGL Gear Case Lube. Or you can go to any auto parts store and buy 70-80 weight Rear End Oil.

We had an 05 Sportsman 90 for our grandson to ride. It's a great little trail machine, but doesn't like water or mud.
