I put my 3" lift on today, it was a 1-1/2" lift but I just had to upgrade.

So anyways, I set the damn thing down and my front tires are pointed way out to the sides at the front of the machine now, like a LOT! So obviously I use the tie rods to adjust this right? And what should it be, or how do you measure it?

Thanks.

This is a good one. I have been telling Rebel the same thing but I can't find the answer either.

I'm trying to get the proper numbers. I just emailed a guy.

I believe the wheels should be toed out about 1/8-1/4 inch. To measure this I made a gauge which is nothing more than a piece of tubing with a couple pointers set about 3-4 ft apart. One pointer is fixed i.e. welded, the other is on a sleeve with a hose clamp so I can adjust it. I measure the distance between the rear of the tires and compare it to the front. You could probably do this with a tape measure and just go from the center or the same point on the tires and it would work just as well. Ideally you would do this while someone sits on the machine so you are checking it with a load on it which will change it slightly. To adjust the tie rods loosen the jamb nut on the tie rod and rotate the sleeve that it locks in place with a pliers, pipe wrench or ??. Count the turns and do both rt and left sides an equal amount. One is a rt hand thread and the opposite side is a left hand thread if my memory serves me right. Bounce the machine a couple times before rechecking measurements to get everything to settle in. A few sheets of wax paper under the tires may help to keep them from sticking to the floor and throwing off the measurement. Shouldn't take too long and you will for sure notice a huge difference in handling. Good luck.....GOTT (toed out means the front is wider than the rear)

Thats how I adjusted mine.I didnt go by the polaris specs though on how far toed out,in fact mine are almost not toed out.I played with mine a few times, made adjustments and test rode it to adjust the steering & handling in turning & cornering until I got it where I wanted it.My front tires are pretty much perfectly dead on straight up and down and almost not toed out.

RD, also do all adjustments at ride height not just off the jack height. Ride it a bit ,It will settle a bit.

Mine used to dart from side to side when I got it over 30mph or so. Works good now that front end is lined up. I have about 1/8" toe out on it.....GOTT
