Any of you guys and gals purchased anything mostly for the upcoming trip?

If you have I'm sure we would all be interested.

It seems like before each ride I think back and decide on other/different items that I wish I had . I am one of those guys that enjoys thinking/planning out trips and rides just about as much as the ride itself.

Liquor store supplies & Jello. That's it so far.

Or did you mean for the Rhino? Nothing yet, but I will have new tires in a week or so.

I picked up a new carbon fiber helmet,an extra set of sunglasses, and some new mounts for my Go Pro camera.

I put a front rack extension on the 850 today and I dropped off a brand new set of Bighorns at the tire shop this afternoon to bolt on the 850.

Picked up a spare set of riding gloves last week.

Thinking about Baja Cross. I'm liking everything we have read about them.

I looked at a brand new set of those thursday at my Polaris dealer. Sure looked like some real nice trail tires, especially for a sxs.

I have a new pair of goggle/glasses & a few bandanas for dusty trails. Also bought several new BamaBogger shirts, since we gave all ours away last year. There are several boxes sitting on the fireplace with parts in them. I don't know what, but they will be installed before we leave.

Well so far it has mainly been repairs from the last trip lol.

1. Painted the roughed up spots on the front and rear bumpers.
2. Replaced the spark plug wires.
3. Replaced the spark plugs with NGK's.

Extra gas has never been needed on the trail up there till last trip. I almost ran out one day but that was mainly cause I left camp with 3/4 of a tank. Always top off before a day trip.

I may get a new bag cooler for the trip this year. My little side coolers hold ice for about an hour then it is just warm water! Andy's bag cooler held ice all day.

I do carry a spare belt and tow strap. We needed the tow strap once last year for a bike that was acting up.

My new tires are all mounted up. I put some shorter stacks on my snorkels and put some new brake pads on the front. Now I just need to bide my time and wait until my spare helmet cam mounts come in.

I'm ready to ride!

It actually rides a good bit different Jon. It just don't feel right now. I did get the shocks adjusted to where I like them and the ride is alot softer than it was before.

What do you have the shocks set at now? Mine is 2 up front and rear I think.

2 up all the way around. I tried a few settings on the rear first to find a happy medium between a soft ride with little to no bouce. The front felt the best at #2 and #3.

Zero purchases for this ride. I flipped mine over last week and the RZR has a rear axle that keeps popping out. We'll be lucky if we both can ride the whole weekend!!! I know some guys who have some Popos that'll let us ride with em if worse comes to worse though!!!

Joey,

Any major damage to the Rinny? You make it off ok? Keep in touch and you got my cell. I am debaiting taking both my bikes on this trip or not. You know my luck with the little problems and that PoPo dealer in town is not worth the sign that is in front!

I aint buying anything, by the sounds of it, you all got it all covered so I'll just mooch of of everyone else if I need anything LOL. Hell, I could p[robably leave the machine at home and ride around with Boom ,or Stanley or Crystal No Shoes all day and get shit faced :

LOL, nah, just kidding, we got the trailer, it was partly due to these annual trips, we ordered something for EVERYONE that shows up, they look pretty cool and thanks to Boom for the great idea ;) I got a click in one of my rears and so does the wifes RZR so I kinda hope we both blow one up next weekend at the races so I can get some new ones right away. I'm probably gonna bring my Turners for spares just in case.

Gotta pick up some beef and Davids gotta bring me a ton of deer for Jerky!!!!

I'll be lucky to have just me and Stacey ready. We might show up with 2 broke down 4 wheelers and no clothes or food..........

On second thought, I might go ahead and get some clothing ready, I don't wanna have to fight off the girls all week because I don't have any clothes on.

Yasky sent the wrong size tires. I'm going to have to straighten this out sometime next week. But the right ones will be here in 2 days. So no worries.

Man, I'm wore out! Changed the oil in the Excursion this morning, then put new rear pads on my bike. Got the bike the rest of the way cleaned up. I drug out all my ratchet straps and bungee chords and threw away the bad ones. Then got all my tools, riding gear and other and crap ready to load up. Got the trailer hooked up and backed into the driveway. My damn pigtail is too short to plug up the lights to it! Gotta fix that tomorrow and fix two lights that don't work. I don't have a whole lot to do tomorrow morning and we'll be ready to head out Wednesday @ noon! Can't wait! Work has sucked lately - I need a vacation!!!!

DON'T FORGET THE HELMETS!!!!!!!

This place requires helmets according to the website.

Got new tires on the Ford today (6 hour ordeal but they are on). Still need to load everything up but I got all day tomorrow to do this. Work tomorrow night at 9, home at 5:30AM and meeting at 6:00AM to head out.

LOL, I said I wouldn`t be on again but enduring this old style dial up. I hit Froogs place last night, did his quad brakes, hooked up the borrowed trailer to the borrowed truck, rewired some of it, trailer ball, receiver height install, load his, drink beers, and the rest I don`t remember lmao.
All in all, I think we are ready for the treck. My Mrs. has been the most helpfull to us, insuring we don`t starve lol. My list is complete.. as long as I actually put it on the list.
I think, maybe, sorta, kinda...

Well now all I can do is wait. We will be pulling out around 3am wednesday morning. Sure wish I could leave earlier but my brother has to get some jobs lined up monday so his crew will have some work the rest of the week.

Gonna go over some last minute lists and chat with my brother tomorrow afternoon. Cleaning up the wheelers on monday and picking up any last minute items. Loading it all up on tuesday afternoon then off to bed very early for a good nights sleep before the 10 hour ride on wednesday.

I will sure be glad once I cross over the Kentucky line around lunch on wednesday. Man I sure will be glad to roll the wheelers off the trailer and head up on the mountain.

I can't freaking wait!

Well, slight change of plans for us. Went out to get some dinner without the trailer on and when we got there the truck was smoking a little more than its supposed to. Guess one of those panic stops in the rushhour traffic with the trailer ripped the linings off one of the pads. So before we go pickup our stuff tomorrow we have to get the front brakes done. Might be pretty late getting there tomorrow night.

Sorry to hear that Scott.

Long day here too Boom, I put the new rear Turner Nitros in because one of the rears was clicking soooo frikkin bad now. There is a pin hole in the boot, and it doesnt feel broken but it doesnt feel good either LOL. The Turner install was a chore, had to pull the new rear a-arms off and modify them to clear the new axles. Put a cargo seat on my machine for storage and to be more comfy on drink breaks. Pulled Melissa's rear end apart to re-band the new Gorilla so it looks right. Loaded the truck and trailer except for the coolers, gonna go eat a steak, put in a movie and hope to get a few hours of shut eye before the hair band gets here around 2 or 3 AM.

See all you guys tomorrow or later in the week depending on when ya'll are leaving....notice the "ya'll", LOL, I gotta start getting into the southern spirit ;)

I found some front diff fluid in the garage today. I guess I might as well change that before we leave. Got the trailer tool box all loaded today and the wiring on the trailer fixed. The wifey went to the grocery store tonight for the "dry goods." We'll just stop on the way in Thursday morning for our meat and other frozen/refrigerated stuff.
