Just wanted to introduce myself and say hi to everyone. I'm relatively new to atving. Had my 800 about a year now and have put a little over 450 miles on it. Don't get many opportunities to ride it as much as I'd like to. Lookin to start customizing it as finances allow (a little here and a little there). This looked to be the best forum for Polaris tips and advice. Hope to meet all of you sooner or later!

Hi back to ya'll! Just been going thru the different posts seein what I could learn and generally intertainin myself. VERY good forum, especially for us fortunates that own popo's LOL. Just kidding (really I am). Unfortunately I have to take a break & go feed a sick (wounded) hen. She's survived 3 bobcat attacks and was taken by a hawk twice in the last week and somehow survived and escaped both times. She is badly beaten up from the last one though and it's been touch and go for 3 days. Havin to feed her with a syringe cause she's too weak to feed herself. Toughest little bird I've ever seen. Talk to ya'll later!

But just what kind of hen are you nursing there...a chicken? (confused)

Yeah, she's a mixed breed. My girlfriend wanted to have some chickens so I built a coop and a neighbor gave us 3 to start out. 2 were taken by bobcats over the summer along with 3 roosters. I finally trapped 1 of the bobcats 2 weeks ago and put it out of my misery but now the hawks have moved in. I've been wanting to enclose the coop but the funds haven't been available.
These birds have been turned into pets so you know who has been very upset. The lone survivor (Chelsea) has been thru the mill but she's incredibly tough! She finally started perking up today. I've been feeding her pedialyte mixed with wheat bread thru a syringe and it seems to have brought her back from the brink.
