Looking for opinions for if I should add these or not. The tires are real close to the struts, although might be hard to tell from the pics.
Does adding them create more stress on the CV's?

I wouldn't go more than 1" spacers for sure. It would giv eyou more stability as well as make you look badder

So I wouldn't be putting any parts at risk with them added?

you will be putting more stress on the cv's because the center of the wheel is farther out from the hub. i personally wouldn't add spacers

1" wouldnt be too bad, its already bad enough that your running that lift kit you have on there. Thats one ugly lift kit dude....seriously :D

So the type of lift kit is already causing stress, and yours wouldn't? You know I'm already thinking about your 3" for up front...just haven't talked about what to do with the rear just yet.

my rim are off set, works very well! pic is blurry but you can see that RD lift and room for days between the tire (27-10-12)

Mine would cause the same stress, but it looks a whole lot nicer ;)

Ok, got any pics so I can see the differences? All I know is that on yours I wouldn't have had to drill into the frame to attach the "name forgotten" part.

Yea..... you're causing RubberDown stress because you ain't running one of his lifts, lol, lol, lol.
I personally wouldn't add spacers UNLESS they are rubbing. It don't matter that they are close, as long as they don't rub. With aftermarket rims like you have you do not need to run spacers unless you are going to run a 12" wide tire on the rear. Mine are so close I can barely fit a finger between the tie rod and the tire BUT they don't rub and never have so I ain't adding no spacers. If iot were me, I wouldn't unless you have had them rub before.

No drilling required, easy install at the bottom in the rear kit, 30 minutes tops to put the rear kit in. Missing from the picture is the longer steel sway bar links.

Not much more stress on the CVs but it puts alot more on the bearings.

LMAO!!! Ok this is getting me all cornfuzed with talks of spacers and lifts.
Pics that I just took are uploading now, and you'll see how close I am in the rear, but no they haven't rubbed yet. It just had me worried that they might, and yes I'm running 12" tires in the rear, and 10's in the front. And then at the same time I was thinking about spacers so I can have a bit more stability since I do run some off-camber trails still, and at the same time would like to go with the 3" lift causing even more of a top-heavy situation.
Ok here's the pics:

Man, all I can say is those tires are CRAZY LOL. As much as I dont care all that much for the owners of that company for obvious reasons, that there tire is a crazy ass tire. If I thought for a second that they wouldnt chew up my axles, I'd buy a set of 27's for the 500..... maybe even 28's????

RD if you do get some laws go with the 27s. The have a little different tread setup like the 29.5s do. They ride way better than the 26 & 28s do.
I was thinking of a set before i found the Bi/Tri claws. I love these tires!
The only way i would go outlaw now is if i get that 4" lift i was talking about.

I have run 1.5" spacers on my 03 for 5 years with no problems. I've never replaced an cv joint and I've only replaced one rear wheel bearing. I do think my other rear wheel bearing is ready to change but think its held up great to be 5 years old. Heres an older pic of mine with 1.5" spacers.

man those are close. my bugs without the spacers in the rear actually rubbed the sway bar. seeing those pics i would say go with 1" spacers on all 4. i noticed how loose your sway bar is. mine is like that to but it looks like it is normal so i won't worry about it.

Don't blame ya one bit for the discord with that company, but man I love these tires.
I was worried about the axles too...that's why I got the Turners on.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------- My 04.5 I had to change the rear bearings out out a year ago... I guess they just wore down some and all that CREEK riding I do got water and sand all in em.. ATE the heck out of em.. They had water all in them!!!!!

Question.......
With those 27's on the front when come down hard or hit a good bump I've been told they rub pretty good.. I haven't been home to ride it myself yet but from what my dad has said they rub..... Lift kit????? I've flipped the tie rod ends and put just some washers on each wheel on the inside to offset it some... mabye 1/2 in. only other thing I can think of.....
Or mabye just some stiffer springs????

Thanks Adam.
Yeah he's a bit dirty...you can see the debris I yanked off in the other pics in the same folder.
But bearings aren't a big deal...I'll replace them when needed. No play at all with them at the moment.

I expect to be replacing all of mine before Nats...or best case if they aren't worn out I'll probably have to replace a lot of stuff after the event.

What do spacers need to be torqued down to? I got these at 60lbs, but thought I should check. And no, I don't know the manufacturer of them...got them used, and it doesn't say on them.

Got the blue loktite on, and they seem pretty snug, but didn't want to risk breaking the studs off by cranking too hard.
