Hey you North Carolinians! (Is that a word?) Lets plan a midwinter ride at Busco Beach. I need to release some steam!! I've spent the last 3 months in the woods sittin in a tree and I need to get out and ROCK!! Any takers? I'm sure my better half would like to put a few more miles on her Hawkeye too.

Sounds like a plan. I'll talk to my better half and start making plans. I need to take the shell off the Tacoma so I can haul her Hawkeye in it but other then that I'm ready to go. Just finished a 450 mile inspection of my belt, changed the oil and coolant, cleaned the prefilter, and cleaned 1 spark plug. The left side plug looked like a complete tear down to get to and the right 1 looked real good when I took it out so I didn't do the left 1. By the way, what's wrong with your son's kitty? Had the same problem when the hawkeye went in for recall repairs (3 months in the shop). We canceled our 4th of July trip to busco beach cause of it.

the top end was rebuilt back in june under warranty, and it had a cracked intake boot and that wasn't caught by the mech. when they did the work so 22 miles later it started smoking and by the time my son got it back to the house it was knocking.they are installing a new crank, cylinder, head, cam, intake boot, timing chain and are also replacing the front sheaves in the clutch.keep in mind that this bike only has 130 mile and 12 hours on it total that is why i say it is a big P.O.S.

I'm really sorry to hear that parttime. I'll bet your son is real pissed. It must be a factory lemon. I've heard good things about the cats for the most part.
But I have no experience with them (or any other brand for that matter) cause I'm a virtual ATV newbie.

That's some great video but I'm not to sure about trusting all the seals on this thing to keep the water where it belongs. I'd hate to screw something up before I have it payed off.
