Wanting a new set and see that these digital slims are now out and also come with a relay harness for ballast power straight to the battery.
Anybody have experience and/or reviews about either new product?

Here's the new kit I was looking to get: http://www.vvme.com/digital-slim-h49003hb2-hid-conversion-kit-p-67.html?cPath=44_45_22&zenid=219nbk5tvc4iga5e7losrsf3honekk6t

Looks like the same ballest boxes I got over a year ago. I did not see anything new in the link you posted from whats been on the market. I know I have one slim and 2 larger ballest with the 8k kit I installed. Do you have a better link or picture of what the "digital slims" look like? Maybe I am just not seeing something I am suppose to.

What's up with the ones you got now Mark?

Left one decided to start flickering on the July 4th ride, and I noticed the ballast was getting REALLY hot..enough to curl the label.
Bought a replacement but it's not working...even when I swap it out on the right side.
Thought it would be quicker to just get a new system rather than dickin around with a return since I want these functioning for a Labor Day weekend ride.

Fooled around with the replacement ballast last nite and it now works. Looks like I'm going to have a spare complete HID kit sitting around soon.

Wow, big difference. Looks a lot better and smaller. Guess they are sealed just as well or better as well. Nice pick-up.

What did they run you?

The kit's I've been buying are 25.00 for both bulbs, ballast and the wiring. Had them on my Can Am for several months with 0 problems. If they lasted through that ride in KY I don't see them ever having a problem.

On a side note, I've noticed several Polaris bikes with the pop eye problem your talking about. Actually seen several bikes period with that problem. So far mine have both started every time I've used them and I never have had to turn them off/on to get them to both fire up.

Little more expensive than the old style---about $70 for this kit.
They do look to be sealed up better than the previous kit also.

Who is your source and can you get a 3 light kit?

The kits are 25.00 a pair. That's for normal ballast (waterproof), bulbs and wiring.

I guess if you wanted a 3 light kit you could just buy 2 pairs and have a spare for the high beam.

25.00 is for a standard ballast 35w pair in any color (kelvin). You can upgrade to 55w for 10.00 extra, slim ballast for 10.00 extra and there are a few other things you can upgrade to also. They have high/low kits and extreme colors like pink, green, orange, purple and so on.

Got them from VVME. They have an ebay site but I just went through their regular website (www.vvme.com (http://www.vvme.com))
I'm sure you could get the paired unit for the lowers and then a single for the upper pod light.
