I was checking out the Algonquin West area and was wondering if anyone knew the trails in that area. I was up in Kearny this summer but did not get to ride. It seems as most of the trails are around this area and was wondering how far south they come. Can you pick up any of the trails around Huntsville? Highway 60 area or down by Lake of Bays?

You can ride from Huntsville to Kearney very easily. BUT the last time I checked Huntsville was still a NO ATV town. Not that it has stopped anyone in the past.
The trail access is through Williamsport road & is out of the way so none really cares too much.

I have an old copy here but you should look into getting an updated one as they have been busy building trails like ENGLISH said.
Here is the link to where you can buy your maps.

I was going to buy the maps. We stay at Lake of Bays and was wondering how close the trails come down.

Hey Riven; I've been going up to Ahmic Harbour for the about the last 15 years, but this was my first season with the ATV. Do you know the area? Those friken snowmobile trails offer some rugged riding.
I've seen areas this season that I never knew existed. Some of the hunting camps back there in the bush sure are back there in the bush!

I know the area fairly well but not from an ATV point of view. I have never ridden in that area. Drove most of those back roads as a kid but thats it.

Yes some of those camps are WAY back in the bush.

Well, it rained all weekend for us up there so it should still be good and wet! Luckily i've never had to hit Rickwards for parts, so couldn't tell ya how much they stock. Has to be more than my local dealer, they dont stock anything.

We rode some of trail 42 on Sunday, it was a nice trail on the small section we rode on, lots of nice hard bottom water holes, nicely groomed smooth trail sections, it was one of the nicest trails up there I have rode and we only did about 15 miles of it.

I liked that last section we rode through when i was in 1 wheel drive. Could have been fun. 42 was pretty good too, fun waterholes.

Its nice & sunny today but who knows by the weekend.
The Weathernetwork says rain every day except friday & saturday.

Rob usually has a decent supply of parts. Hell I spent 1/2 of Sunday there rebuilding my trailer bearings. Had everything I needed on the shelf.
