Hi Guys,
My buddy has a cottage out by South Cayuga and we go riding there. We have picked up the trail on Haldimand 50 south of number 3. We ride east and have made it to Marshall Road. (1 block east of 49)
We cant seem to find any trail heading further east from there and we have heard it goes to Port Maitland.
Does anyone ride there?
Do you know where to pick up any trail from that point?
thanks for any help.

The trail does go all the way to port maitland, when you hit marshall road the trail does continue, you just have to look for it, it's not marked well. You'll see what looks like an old shack in the field near the tree line, thats the entrance into the bush, theres a path from that shack to the road. Let me know when you are down here again, my buddy has a farm in south cayuga, I could ride with you guys and show you where it goes.

Is that the same trail that comes out right in front of the campground near the airport? There's some pretty serious mud in the last stretch just before ..umm, Port Maitland Rd I believe it was.

Yes it's the same trail, it's an old mud road that me and my friends use to tear up with our chevy's about 10 years ago. From Port Maitland road to Aikens road is an old mud road, called Ramsey Drive. From Aikens road to 50 road is regular trail through the bush.

My winch got a good workout along that stretch, that's for sure. :crutch:
There was quite a bit of water in there too.

Great thing about those trails is they never dry up, always very wet.
