Hi Guys, do the grooves that go length wise on the inside of a Polaris belt have anything to do with the operation of the EBS, the reason I ask is I just bought some Dayco belts that show as direct replacement for the Polaris belts, but they don't have these grooves. my dad has used Dayco on his 04.5 400 with no problems, so considering the price difference I taught I would also. Has anyone else used other brands with success.

I don't have any experience with other brands of belts, but it seems that popular opinion is to stick with OEM ones. *just what I've heard*

no it has nothing to do with the ebs. just some advise though, stick with the stock belts. they perform the best on the polaris quads.

The groves are for cooling.
