I'm a chevy man and as much as i hate to say it I don't think a chevy could've even got outta that one on it's own. especially with that much weight on the front end and it appears to be sitting on the frame

Nah, can't hurt that old thing. I wash it once per year, haul firewood, 300 gal. water tank, run it through the brush, plow w/ it, ect. Can't beat an old truck, I love it! 300 I-6 w/ manual w/ only 60,000 miles on it! It will outlast me.
