My bike dies often when doing water wheelies. Is it due to water covering the exhaust, some type of leveling kill switch? What is going on? Runs great the rest of the time. 2007 Honda Rincon

Umm, for some reason no one can pinpoint the cause of the Rincon's stalling problems. I clear mine out in nuetral before dropping it in drive, or heading up a steep hill. Very annoying problem to have and the Rincons dirty little secret. It always fires right back up :) and so far with 1450 HARD miles she has only needed brakes , and 1 wheelbearing/ball joint (my fault).

I do think it has some sort of angle sensor, or possibly oil sensor that cuts it off when it stands straight up. I will leave mine alone I think.

maybe it is running out of gas, float level

Steam around the intake?

The wiring is dielectric greased?

Happens regardless of fuel level.

Happens regardless of fuel level.

Skipped right over the wise guy honda remarks and went right back to the topic. Congratulations for figuring out how to defeat me. I wish for real I could help you figure out your problem.

Happens regardless of fuel level.

Not the fuel level, the float level, in the carb bowl.
When your on a angle it might stave for fuel. Unless its EFI and then we are back to, I dunno. Lol

if it is injected then i would say tip over sensor

It has EFI. Do u know where the heck a tip over sensor may be. Something like that would make since cause it only happens when the front comes up pretty good which blows considering how much I stay in water.

Honda says the bank sensor shuts the engine down when the atv exceeds 70 degrees on a horizontal and 135 degrees cross ways. yours could be failing or you are exceeding those angles. I haven't had much experience with a bank sensor on an ATV, but on a street bike, once they trip the engine shuts down, no sputtering just dead right now. I believe your going to find the sensor down under the handlebars. It may be possible to defeat but it was put on for a reason.

Hmmm....so find that sensor and tip it forward 20 degrees, so when you stand it up right on the back bumper it only thinks its at 70?

under the bars its # 12, tip it forward alittle and you will be good to go
