How do you get the front axles out of the front diff? I have it all apart and tryed pulling like a mother pucker but no go! Also once the axles are out does the front drive shaft need any tricks to get it out of diff? Thx

What are ya working on? Axles can be a pain. Best way i have found is one of Pauls tricks. Wrap a tie strap arount the cup right near the diff and tie the other end to the biggest sledgehammer you can find. A few swings will usually pop em out. As for thhe driveshaft, some have a roll pin and some don't. Might have to unbolt the diff so you have room to pull the shaft off, but again, depends what your working on.

My awd drive isn't working, sometimes it does sometimes it doesn't. I think the cage is toast ,i have a oil leak so i'll take it all apart and put new seals in while i'm in there.

It would help if we knew what type of machine you're working on. Ranger, RZR, Prowler, Rhino?

OK first i want to thank rubberdown. The sledge hammer method worked like a charm! I have the diff out and apart ,i can't believe the sludge in there no wonder it didn't work. Should i change all the seals while i have it apart? Is it normal to have sludge in there, do they all leak? I bought this used and i'm slowly fixing it up. Thanks
