We have never run a series of this size before. Most of our stand alone events the last few years have 1200 to 2500 people. Depends where it was and the weather. so we are hoping for a 26,000 people for total annual spectators. We have a few big sponsors already looking at us. So we will see what happens.

LOL! Sounds cool for the May 10th event since it'll be my first comp, but I don't think I'll be able to make the July 18-19-20 event since I'll be up there at Big Flats on July 4th weekend.

Mark you have to make it up for the July 17,18,19 $15,000 up for grabs.

This sucks...just about every race that I already want to attend Desi has her daughter, including this big race weekend. Not that having her daughter is a bad thing, but she's pretty active with stuff also so I gotta weigh things out and spend time with her also.
We'll just have to see how things pan out Vern, that's all I can say for now.

mrwilliamsrzr
02-05-2008, 06:44 PM

thats my plan
!!! just gotta get the treads to ride

Rebel64
02-05-2008, 07:24 PM
Oh we love to camp, that's not the big issue. It's just that Desi has a dickhead for an ex, and she's already trying to think of how she can get the weekend of the 5th free to come up with me for that event, and then 2 weeks later on another weekend that she's supposed to have her daughter again (every other weekend thing) we have this going on.
But I do have a plan since her daughter is in that boy crazy stage right now (she's 16). I want her to come up to GobHill with us for the first event on May 10th, and maybe she'll get into all the guys and the action going on, so not all hope is lost just yet. Just going to have to do some juggling this summer.
Damn I'm glad I don't have kids of my own!!!!

mrwilliamsrzr
02-05-2008, 08:56 PM

Due to the ever increasing cost in fuel and lodging. NRS racers will be afforded an opportunity to remain competitive without attending every single sanctioned race.

Effective immediately NRS members need only attend 8 of the 12 events listed. Only 8 of the events will be calculated and recorded toward the championship award banquet. However, racers must understand that persons attending events totaling more than 8 have a greater opportunity to remove the lowest scoring events.

mrwilliamsrzr

seems only right that the people that make the attept to ride should be awarded the points.

Bigdog800EFI
03-02-2008, 10:03 AM
We will have some awards for those with perfect attendence. Awards for most memorable moment. And a few others.

mrwilliamsrzr
03-02-2008, 11:24 PM
Those are cool... At every car show i have been in they give a award to someone that drove the furthest.. one more idea maybe..

First event went pretty good. Low turn out but everyone had fun. Took 4th in the 500 class with one broke front axle and blew the belt on my 800 open class bike when I hit the Nitrous button. Finished dead last.

too bad about the messed up machine sVern, but you ride em hard right, so shits gonna happen from time to time I guess.

Was the nitrous too much for the popo?
