You guys are fricking crazy man. To hell with all that ICE riding, lol. Yall need to come on down south. In the middle of the dead winter our mud holes don't even freeze up, much less the whole damn creek, lol.

It's alot of fun running on or through ice. As a matter of fact I might just have to run across the lake for lunch today at one of our many lake side pubs on my bike since my wife took my car keys with her to work today.

Running ON the ice would be ok. Running THROUGH the ice........ oh HELL no.

The only thing I was concerned about was having one of the meaty lugs on the tires catching too hard on the ice and snapping an axle or something, so that's when I let Desi take the wheel and I went along breaking a path for her.
Damn glad I had the waders on!

yep that is right mark.... Although this didn't happen on OUR ride Roger(?) lost a snowmobile due to breakthrough on a lake!!!
I thought they were gonna do the same when him and Buck took to the pond... Wasn't no way I was going on it!!!!!

Yeah no doubt...wish I had the camera when they were out there on the pond. That would have been bad news for sure if they would've broken through.

waders are the way to go. that is all i where. i used to were just boots and tape splash pants to them. feet ere always soaked. fianlly invested in some waders and know i get to watch all the people complain how they are wet. good investment for anyone who doesn't have them.

Rebel64
01-30-2008, 04:07 PM
Exactly. I almost just kept the coveralls and snowboots on since I was wearing them earlier in the day while we were just tooling around, but I knew this was going to be the last big ride of the day and venturing into unknown territory so I changed into them before we took off again.
I was DAMN glad I had them on when I slipped on the ice and fell into the hole where Aarons bike was initially 'parked' at. (see video #3) The water came within an inch of coming into the waders (chest high). I would have been one cold (and miserable) camper if I didn't have those on.

mrwilliamsrzr
01-30-2008, 06:14 PM

Was fun though....its always fun when your not the one stuck.!
